Negative experience: The one star is for the renovation. The receptionists (who I’m told are related to the owner or friends of his wife) are rude, entitled and don’t understand their own appointment booking system. I was called a liar for attending a scheduled appointment after receiving a reminder text for it and was told I definitely was sent a message that it needed to be rescheduled (while the staff member who apparently sent this text giggled next to her). The staff all seem like they have no time for patient care - the aesthetician while good at her job refused to provide numbing cream as it takes too much time, and the dentist I used seemed like he was about to have a nervous breakdown whenever I saw him and seemed scared of being fired when I raised being called a liar by the receptionists. Amazing renovation but seems very transparently like money comes over patient care and no effort is put into customer service. A good renovation does not make a successful business.

Positive experience: This dentist is not holistic/biological as their website suggests. So if looking for a holistic dentist this is not the one for you. They use fluoride readily, they use ‘mercury’ fillings readily and perform root canals amongst other things that a holistic dentist would definitely never do. So if looking for a whole body dentist don’t be persuaded by their ‘holistic approach’ as mentioned on their website as you will be disappointed. They should really not be using that term. The star rating is for misguiding information, not their general practice which is fine as you’d expect from any qualified regular dentist. Review can’t be posted without stars. I can’t give higher for reasons outlined. SO WISH there was a true ethical holistic biological dentist in this town, or state even. I do not need to be a patient to know this surgery IS NOT a biological dental surgery, despite you being fine at regular dentistry. Just look at the procedures and materials you use above. Your advertising and practice blurb is deceptive in its content. This is my concern. July 2025.

Also there was no pressure to lock in a time for more treatment and they happily gave me a very detailed quote and explanation of the treatment required going forward.

Fantastic experience: Went in today to see Dr Christiana Wu for a exam, clean and a few extras. Her assistant and Dr Wu were awesome, they were really friendly and accommodating. It was the first time ever that I felt really at ease at a dental clinic and in the dentist's chair. The receptionists were also really nice and professional. DDTA is a very calm, relaxing clinic for everyone.

Fantastic experience: This clinic has beautiful aesthetics and lovely friendly staff. I was made to feel comfortable with every detail explained to me. My childhood dental memories - a German older man with his traditional music on "loud" a gruff/rough manner to now - Dr Tan humming to lovely calming tunes guiding me to take 3 deep breaths before the procedure. He then relayed to me the probable cause and made a plan to reduce the effects in future. What a great practice.

When I arrived there was a lovely aroma which made me feel relaxed and calm which is nice when you can feel a little anxious. Do your teeth a favour and don't go anywhere else. Fantastic experience: Easy booking process (online or via phone), warm comfortable and stylish reception with start of the art dental rooms and facilities. Lots of gentle care and attention was given to me being an anxious patient which helped calm the nerves. I did get offered a fluoride gel thing at the end of my treatment which I felt was a bit odd being a biological (wholistic) dental practice. I’m booked in again in a couple of weeks time for some extra detailed work and will return again after that for my regular check ups.

A lot of extra information and knowledge surrounding structure of the jaw bones and sinuses and current medical history was also discussed that was causing problem's which wasn’t connected at other practices. 10/10

The effort that has gone into creating a peaceful environment is commendable, with aromatherapy, natural light, comfortable waiting areas, and gorgeous views helping to ease any anxieties. I was able to book in for an emergency appointment on the same day, and was particularly impressed by the gentle and kind manner of my dentist, Dr Simon, and will absolutely be booking to see him in the future.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Simon and his assistant Tia were great during my check up and clean. Very gentle, thorough and efficient, Dr. Simon took his time to explain to me the xrays and I really appreciated that. The ladies at reception were very welcoming. Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr. Simon this morning, and the experience was fantastic! The teeth fillings were done perfectly with great attention to detail. Highly recommend him for anyone looking for a skilled and professional dentist. However, I would definitely avoid Dr. Krushen based on my previous experience. I went in for a routine check-up and teeth cleaning, but instead of focusing on my dental health, he kept asking unrelated questions about whether I wake up with a burning throat and making odd observations about my sinus structure. To make things worse, the teeth cleaning was poorly done—I could still see plaque buildup on my teeth afterward. If you’re visiting this clinic, I strongly recommend booking with Dr. Simon for quality dental care!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely TAN-TASTIC!!! Dr Tan was not only extremely professional but very approachable and friendly. It never seemed rushed and the bloke is a deadset legend. If more health care professionals conducted themselves and their practice like this guy then men wouldn't have their usual reservations about all things health and well-being. Very highly recommend!

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend, had a tooth that was obviously not saveable with a filling. They went ahead and filled it and I had major tooth pains for 3-4 days to go back and say it was due to grinding my teeth in my sleep. Now I have an abscess obviously because there is still an infection. Now I’m having to go else where to get it removed after wasting $750 on dr Daniel tans clinic.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 Dr Daniel Tan has created a calming environment & the most professional of spaces. I used to be terribly scared of the dentist but that all changed when I went to Dr Tan. The renovations have enhanced the practice - keeping the old & the new in perfect sink!!

Fantastic experience: Time to update my review from last year! From the minute you walk into the newly renovated consulting rooms/reception you immediately feel at ease. Reception staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Waiting rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with great reading material. Dr Tan and Associates are ‘next level’ practitioners. My experience has been nothing less than amazing. Launceston is very lucky to have a dental practice of such high calibre. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Simon Lew without doubt one of the most caring dentists I have ever experienced. Communication absolutely never a problem, if I have any questions about anything, he always gets back to me, which is so reassuring. The girls are always so welcoming and friendly on arrival, as they always are when you phone the practice. I truly can't speak more highly of Dr Tan and Associates, especially from someone that really did have a fear of dentists after quite a few bad experiences over the years.

Negative experience: The reception staff gossip loudly amongst themselves and talk rudely about customers when they hang up the phone. Especially the lady with the pink phone. I think her name is Rosie, she’s also not competent at her job and charged me even though the dental checkup was fully covered by insurance. The dentists are friendly enough but for a service that costs over $200 it felt quite rushed to be in and out within 2-3 minutes. Not the building itself of course, you’re usually waiting 8 times the duration of the check up and clean before you see anyone because they are always running behind time.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending DDTA for a year now and chose them as my dentist because of the high ratings and being a Medicare provider. I have seen multiple dentists including Dr Tan himself over this time. The service, knowledge and level of care provided is amazing no matter which dentist, admin or support staff cares for you. Dr Tan and his team always go above and beyond in support of their clients health needs and do it all with warmth and friendliness. Highly recommended.

The new offices are amazing, the reception friendly and helpful and the service outstanding. The dentist I saw was not only knowledgeable and practical, but truly friendly and budget conscious. I had my future work outlined in a plan with costs, and what Medicare Private will rebate on. It was very helpful. I highly recommend attending this surgery. It was a very good experience. They appear to provide many other interesting services as well, which are worth looking into… as they are endeavouring to provide holistic care for patients. Fantastic experience: What can I say …. after a very disappointing and disheartening experience at another dental surgery I decided I would contact Dr Tans surgery. I sent through an email outlining my concerns and hopes moving forward for my teeth and general oral health. I received a call from one of the lovely receptionists shortly after who booked me an appointment for the following week. Today I attended and I will never go anywhere else. Dr Tan is so down to earth , honest and explains everything you wish to know in regards to your dental needs. I immediately felt at ease and comfortable, something that I can’t say I have ever felt in a dental chair. Dr Tan reassured me that my outlook was no where near as bleak as I had been advised by another dentist and thankfully I had opted to not have a back molar extracted by that same dentist as it was not necessary. In Dr Tans words , I have great teeth , at almost 50 !! Thank you so much Dr Tan you made my day and I feel so happy knowing that I made the right choice in contacting you ! Bless
