Fantastic experience: Dr. Harry Bird is wonderful. I’ve recently moved to North Brisbane. Tried another dentist who was pretty awful. Read the google reviews so I tried Harry. He was amazing. Very helpful, thorough, and understood all my concerns. Had a long chat about various things. Came away with a plan to go forward, and the confidence to know I’d be looked after by a caring and empathetic dentist. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: It takes a lot to make a 5 star dentist but these guys are great, been there 3 times now always so friendly and not judging. Dr Bird was excellent if you dont like dentists offices he made me feel very taken care of.

Negative experience: So after 8 years using this clinic I had a toothache called to get a emergency appointment called on a Saturday as was hoping to get in Monday for issues sorted and got told no emergency appointments till Friday only general appointments for Monday no emergency available so went else where and lost 4 of my front teeth not happy then they call me to say did u want to book ur regular appointment Well dr Anthony gone dentist on staff have poor English no thanks so had to claim a super release to get teeth fixed bottom line they use false advertising say they leave 2 appointments a day for emergency’s anybody has a emergency tooth problem stay away from this mob reception are so cold and uncaring your better of going to a shoe repair place to get. Ur teeth fixed then going here highly dont recommend for any teeth issues total false advertising better of going to pacific smiles least they allocate emergency appointment.

Negative experience: Booked for a general check up. I was told I had multiple holes in my teeth that needed to be filled. I did not trust this opinion so I booked a secondary appointment with another trusted local dentist and they reported no signs of any holes whatsoever. The whole process was rushed and I was pestered for weeks to re-book via text, phone and email. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: Had a painful abcess, booked appointment to start root canal which i was advised by a different dentist to do. I didnt like my previous dentist so I chose this practice to start the process. She did a basic X-ray, (without the usual protection they give for X-rays) she left the room for the x ray but didnt give me any protection) couldn't see which tooth was the issue and decided to stab at my gums with a sharp instrument to see where it hurt most. It was painful and pointless. Gave me antibiotics that i told her already didn't work. I can only speculate that they don't have the equipment required to diagnose. They didn't admit this and charged me $90 to do nothing. Still in pain hoping the next dentist has the qualification to diagnose and treat this. I'd give zeros if i could, she caused pain for no reason. Run from this practice. I'm so upset I wasted a day hoping to get treatment its already stressful visiting a dentist, to make no progress is infuriating.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having Reshma and Lulu as my dental team. I highly recommend both of these ladies. They went above and beyond any dentist I've ever had. I struggle with anxiety when it comes to the dentist and both of these ladies made me feel so safe and not at all judged. Reshma was extremely knowledgeable and passed on all information I needed to make a decision on my treatment. I've found my forever dentist . Lulu and Reshma make such a great team and truly compliment each other as work colleagues. Thank you so much for everything ladies. 10/10 service.

Negative experience: I don’t think I’ll ever step foot back into a 1300smiles ever!!!!! Anthony Franklin Is insolent, and very unpleasant person to deal with. I left feeling very overwhelmed, mortified, and very emotionally upset. The ladies at reception were very lovely in such a very difficult situation.

Fantastic experience: Was the only dentist who could get me in on such short notice - and Dr James Choi had such a lovely bedside manner. Explained everything very clearly, was very up front about the costing (and was reasonable for what I was expecting) and didn’t force me into anything I wasn’t comfortable with. Very happy, so glad we got Dr James. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service, looked after my wife at late notice for an emergency surgery on a Saturday. James and the team were excellent the whole way through and kept me updated on what was going on, keeping our young Bub in mind through the long procedure. Can’t recommend enough.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service, went to another dentist and everything Smiles Strathpine had said they could and couldnt do was a total lie. Rudest reception I have ever come across. Sent a reminder from 3 different mobile numbers, then cancelled my childs appointment by text on another different mobile number. Plenty of other great dentists around, this company is full of lies, over priced and dont care for their patients.

Negative experience: ADF FAMILIES BEWARE. Firstly i just want to say that Dr Anthony Franklin is amazing. He's done a faultless job on a tooth i broke. I found him to be patient and thorough and has a great bedside manner. BUTTTT when it came to payment the problems began, he gave me a 50% discount on my gap which I'm thankful for. I used my healthcare fund to cover it and wanted to use my ADF healthcare card to cover the gap. The receptionist wasn't sure how to use it so she asked her admin manager who explained it, the receptionist put the codes in the HICAPS machine and put the gap through at 100% without the discount from Dr Franklin, i questioned this and she went to her admin manager and Dr Franklin and she came out and said "If Dr Franklin knew you had 2 healthfunds he wouldn't have given you the 50% discount, but he will honour it this time". I got this refunded and it was put through at the discount. Prior to this i was going to move myself and my 4 children to this denist, i already have a dentist but booked in with 1300SMILES because of appointment availability. The adf have these healthcare cards to cover gap because believe it or not we're on a below average wage and need help to cover costs.

Fantastic experience: For someone who has hated dentists forever. I just wish I had more teeth to be taken out. Dr Reshma was amazing. Made my fear of dentists non existent. All staff also so friendly

Negative experience: the worst dentist I have been too, overly expensive. Went to the dentist for some tooth pain I was sat in the chair for a whole of 10minutes, she blew some air on the tooth that was sensitive and also an X-ray just in case. she then proceeded to tell me the pain was due to sensitivity and suggested I change toothpaste. Fast forward to paying the bill I was charged $100 for “palliative care” when asking what on earth this ridiculous fee was I was then told it was a fee for suggesting the change of tooth paste. Now I’m a healthy 20year old who is no where near needing end of life care which is the correct meaning to “palliative care” by the way!. I am completely appalled and will not be returning again not only that but this toothpaste change suggestion cost more then the rest of the appointment!!! NOT OKAY

Fantastic experience: Dr Franklin and Dr Jones are the best dentists I have ever seen. They are both extremely professional and always have their patients best interests at heart. They do an amazing job and I am very thankful to have such incredibly capable dentists to look after my teeth.

Negative experience: Not happy at all, gave them tow vouchers and still sore and most of the job they done i have to do it again

Negative experience: Very bad service here. My child appointment was not good. Finish very quickly without did anything. Dr is the worst. She did only talking and finished in less than 10 minutes because she is going on Holidays. Didn’t do anything and expect us to book again next week. Not happy and don’t recommend anyone. Negative experience: Visited on 14 April: We chose Dr Tony (Dr Anthony Franklin) merely based on the reviews in here, it was the biggest mistake in our life though! The first question was asked as soon as we sat was" where are you from?""!! We didn't want to declare that but he kept asking! not sure why nationality is importantly to this Dr! Most importantly he didn't provide us even an approximate quote prior to the procedure, didn't take x-ray once we requested , maybe his x ray was broken! Super expensive Dr as well, was charged twice of other dentists! He even told us "you haven't told me yet to fix this tooth regardless of its cost"!!! also he was too rough while working on my tooth! Also once we initially arrived the receptionist took our private insurance card and kept it as "distraint" till we finished the procedure and paid their fee then they returned our card!!! Also Receptionist deducted our $100 private health insurance bonus without asking us and without our consent! Overall very poor customer service both by this Dr and front staff, Will NEVER come back to Dr Tony (Anthony Franklin)

Fantastic experience: I moved to Brisbane from CQ and this is the dentist my Healthcare Provider Recommended. I've seen Dr Franklin both times and he is fantastic. The staff have always been friendly to me, easy to talk to and answer any questions I have. Highly recommend if you want professional service but also staff that put you at ease and make it a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been to see Dr Franklin 3 times in the last few weeks to get some work done on my teeth. He has been excellent and explains everything as he goes along. I hadn’t been to a dentist in a very long time but he and 1300 Smiles make it so easy and not at all an unpleasant experience. I can highly recommend Dr Franklin and 1300 Smiles Strathpine.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few dentists over the years and none of them have made me feel so welcome and so cared for the way Dr Reshma and Dental Assistant Lulu have. They both make such a great team and go above and beyond with every visit and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The reception team are also incredibly lovely and accommodating. I highly recommend this clinic!

Negative experience: Staff are friendly, and premises are clean. But, my services felt rushed (they called me in 30mins late). Two (cheap permanent - the dentists words) fillings, in and out in 30mins. No care instructions after. How long till i could eat etc. The dentist and the assistant were also discussing other staff and office practices while he had his hands in my mouth. It wasn't till later I realised how low I felt about all this. It made me feel unimportant and just worth a $425 bill.

Positive experience: Welcoming reception staff were very pleasant. The dentist started on appointment time and was very chatter about the cricket and his experience but wouldn't let me talk because he held my mouth open all the time. I suppose he needed to. The whole experience was very comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Anthony Franklin today and he was absolutely incredible. He made me feel comfortable, educated me on what was going on, what they were checking and why, and showed absolute empathy and kindness (and a great sense of humour) every second of my consultation. Fantastic experience: I am a person who has extreme dental phobios. I was so nervous to go to my first appointment here at Smiles Strathpine. I was greeted by friendly reception and then introduced to Dr Deborah. She was kind and reassuring which put me at ease. She talked calmly and through what she was needing to do. Her dental assistant Bella was lovely too and they both eased the way I was feeling when I first walked in!. They work well as a team and did the work on my teeth without distress to me. This I was very grateful for! They did that with minimal pain as the injection was well done I was so relieved to have come to this surgery for treatment. When I was done I had a lovely chat with the receptionist Kerry who was also friendly who booked me another appointment. If you are like me as I am sure some are please consider booking an appointment here, I was pleasantly surprised. KEEP SMILING

Fantastic experience: This 5 star review is for doctor Reshma. I met doctor Reshma few months ago and she was fantastic and very professional ever since. She recommended a dental plate for my teeth to help with my lower teeth and jaw. Harris Denture Group was the lab responsible for making the item. After a very long wait, the plate arrived where it was discovered to have been made wrong. It caused pain, bleeding, discomfort and gave me a lisp. I addressed my concerns to Reshma and she adjusted the plate. After my third complaint my number was forwarded to Harris Denture Group. Harris Denture Group refused to take responsibility for the wrongly made plate, they stated that any refund or concerns should be addressed with my dentist. They were hostile and unwilling to assist. After I addressed it again with the 1300 smiles doctor Reshma took full responsibility, stood up and assisted with everything to get resolved. I just wanted to say big thank you to Reshma she is amazing professional dentist and I would always recommend her to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Dr Reshma and Lulu recently had to remove a tooth for my 9yr old. She has no idea that a needle was used and thinks Dr Reshma and Lulu are absolute tooth fairies that just apply special cream and the tooth just fell out. No pain, no tears just beautiful smiles. Dr Reshma and Lulu take their time to explain what they are doing and why. Their calming natures make all the difference and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my teeth or my children’s teeth.
