Negative experience: On the credit side, they attended to what was (to me anyway) a severe toothache. That has to be worth a star. On the debit side of things the dentist misdiagnosed the issue. She pointed to a blurry spot on the X-Ray and identified it as tooth decay. It wasn't then and isn't now; I can't remember what but it was not tooth decay. The issue went away in short order after I found another dentist and never reoccurred. In any case I had already decided to leave that chair after she cut my lip while removing a tool from my mouth. Not badly and not worth talking about but why would you take the chance? That sloppy work annoyed me as much as the misdiagnosis. All I wanted to settle the issue was a refund. Needless to say that didn't happen. Their choice, and mine to publicise their mistakes. Tom Manning

Negative experience: What a ripoff This clinic is a sham, please avoid this clinic because it’s a sham! I took my mom for a cleaning and check up, the told me it would cost $297! I thought with x-ray, cleaning and proper check up, that price was reasonable. Then Dr Anu Kumar, did not take any xray, did not check up and only after 10 minutes she said well my job is done and she was good to go. I was shocked by her attitude her service. Turns out she didn’t even clean my mom’s teeth, obviously she didn’t even check her properly and then she said it would be additional $100 for the xray. We came home, I started searching to make sure I wasn’t mistake. Called a few other clinics, turned out with xray, OPG, and cleaning most clinics charge about $250 and cleaning takes average 45 minutes to 60 minutes. What a sham, this place is a fraud, absolutely disgusted by their service, their attitude. Disgraceful. PLEASE AVOID GOING TO THIS CLINIC, there are so many good clinics in Bentleigh. For everyone interested and reading this, I have made a complaint against this clinic and the dr to Health Complaints Commissioner.
Negative experience: Terrible experience. I was charged $300 for a quick clean — no X-rays, no full check-up, just a rushed and painful job using old, uncomfortable equipment. Stay away. Total rip-off.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Laith began work on a root canal procedure today. He was very friendly and sympathetic. He and the dental assistant made me feel very comfortable, despite my slight anxiety. I appreciated that the process was explained to me simply. The ambience in the surgery is very nice as well, and I like the soothing music that plays while you are being worked on. I would definitely recommend Dr. Laith.

Negative experience: I had a wisdom tooth extraction performed by Dr. Anuradha. Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. It appeared that many standard sterilization protocols were not followed prior to the surgery, which led to a serious gum infection that lasted for at least two very painful weeks. My surgery experience at EDentist involved excessive incisions in my gums by their dentist, which made the healing process extremely painful. In contrast, I recently had another more complex wisdom tooth removed by a specialist surgeon who strictly adhered to proper pre-surgical protocols, and the difference was significant—no pain, no infection, and a much smoother recovery. Just don’t go there for a tooth surgery. Or don’t go there at all to stay safe.

Negative experience: Extract my wisdom tooth during the procedure Dr. Broke the tooth in front of it and told me i have hole in my another teeth as well. Later afternoon when i got home and the effect of anesthesias gone i found out a big piece of my teeth is missing. After call the clinic next day i have been told that dr. Will fix it up on no cost but today when i head back to clinic dr. Refused and demanded extra 214$ for do feeling which was awful. Totally not recommend any one to go there.

The filling for that tooth you are referring to was a planned treatment and was quoted beforehand. You kindly agreed to proceed with both the anaesthetic and the filling.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this dental clinic. Two months ago, I booked an appointment specifically for a pre-implant scan, as advised during my initial consultation with a male dentist who confirmed I was suitable for the procedure. Today, I arrived at the clinic for the scheduled scan, only to be told that the dentist I originally saw wasn’t even in. Worse, the on-duty dentist had absolutely no idea about my case. Why wasn’t I informed in advance that my dentist wouldn’t be available? What was the point of this visit then? To make matters worse, I waited outside the clinic for 45 minutes, only to be told by the dentist inside that she thought I was there just for a consultation. I already had that consultation two months ago! This entire experience shows a complete lack of communication and respect for patients’ time. I took time out of my day for nothing. Totally unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Edentist is absolutely 5 star. Due to a number of issues i have with my gums i have to go through a deep clean every 3 month and if that wouldnt be for Tatiana who is my hygenist i would definately be missing 2 or 3 teeth already. Her service nothing but outmost proffessional and pain free even though my sensetivity is extremely high. If you need a deep clean or just regular teeth cleaning Tatiana would be the only person i would recommend hands down.

Fantastic experience: The hygienist and dentists do an exceptional job every time. Tatyana is the best hygienist I have had in Melbourne. Dr Khaled Amery did a great job with my son's filling. The treatments and equipment used is also excellent. They work 7 days a week and till late so it's very convenient for the patient

Negative experience: Chipped my front two teeth over the holiday period and the team at e-dentist were able to fit me in which I was grateful for despite the $550 price. However obviously wasn't fixed correctly as it came out within a week in my sleep. When I tried to get back in to get it fixed I was told I would have to wait 3 days or pay again. Ended up having to pay another dentist to fix it meaning I was out of pocket again. Pretty disappointed and out of pocket.

Positive experience: Dr Anu was kind, compassionate and above all, skillful in removing my wisdom teeth. It was my first ever surgery and I was in a lot of pain, but I didn't feel anything during the extraction under her expertise! I was however on edge upon arriving at the dentist as there was nobody at reception to guide me through the registration process, and took some time for someone to attend to me. Otherwise, the doctor did a wonderful job during my surgery. Would recommend to others going through a similar problem.

Negative experience: Doctor did a good job of clean and check up. However it costed me $150 after private insurance rebate for just clean up. I don't remember paying so much for a general dental care. Is it AHM private insurance or is it the clinic?. Anyway, can't afford so much next time, will find another place.

Positive experience: I came here for an emergency visit as my main dental office was closed. The place was very nice and the staff were very friendly. I saw Dr Anuradha, and the experience was about as comfortable as you can ask for when visiting a dentist. She was very gentle and attentive. However, a couple of days later I got a very bizarre phone call from the receptionist who was checking in after the procedure. It was a little disconcerting to tell someone who works in health care that you're still in some pain, and for them to completely ignore what you just said and act as though everything is chipper. They also promised to send some documents, but never did even after I followed up. In person, everything went smoothly, but the communication afterwards was a little disappointing.

I had lost a crown on my back tooth and was concerned re:infection.The dentist was so so good,Garvey me options-he replaced the crown(which I had retrieved )and glued it in place!! Fantastic experience: I contacted EDentist after having a medical procedure that resulted in one of my bottom teeth becoming loose. I was seen to within half hour of calling. I saw Dr Khaled. He was amazing, very reassuring and put me at ease. To try to save my tooth, he splintered my bottom teeth and will the monitor this on a regular basis.and so far so good, the tooth is still alive and is stabilising. It may take a while but I'm feeling confident. The staff at the clinic are really friendly and made the entire experience a good one. I would highly recommend EDentist for any dental needs. Negative experience: So weeks ago I had a appointment with Dr Simon about some crowns on two of my front teeth that had broken. That went well and gave me a quote for the crowns and $132 charge for that. Booked an appointment for about a week and a half later on a Monday as that was the earliest he had, then on the Thursday prior to the appointment I get a phone call saying he won’t be working that Monday and can I make it on the Wednesday yes no problem so then on the Saturday I get another phone call to say he won’t be working on the Wednesday either which was the last straw. So as I’d paid the $132 for the consultation I booked again for an appointment today at 9.00AM. I get a confirmation txt message last Thursday asking Y to confirm the 9.00am appointment. Yes I reply. Get there this morning at 8.55am and the receptionist says my appointment is at 9:45. So I’m not really happy at this point as I run my own business and I’m extremely busy and time poor. I show her the txt message and say no it’s 9:00 not 9:45. Another dentist is there but has a client in 30min so he can’t help. I’m absolutely fed up with this place by now, she calls ‘Dr Simon’ I use that term very loosely and he’s still 20 min away. Absolutely the worst service ever. NO IDEA OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ABSOLUTELY RIPPED OFF GOT CHARGED FOR THE CONSULTATION THEN NEVER THERE TO DO THE WORK. DO NOT USE THIS USELESS PLACE THEY’LL JUST RIP YOU OFF.

Fantastic experience: I came to see Dr Laith Matlub for swollen gums around my wisdom tooth which has been a recurring issue. Dr Laith was very professional and informative throughout the whole process and I found him to be very transparent about pricing before I agreed to anything. He even took the time to check my private health coverage before starting. As for the wisdom teeth extraction, I couldn't believe how quick it was. From start to finish, 2 teeth out in 15 minutes.

Fantastic experience: I woke up with severe tooth pain on Anzac Day. I searched and found E-dentist was open. I was treated by Dr Khaled Amery, who was exceptional. He explained everything that he was doing as well as being very transparent about associated costs. The treatment rooms are very modern and I particularly liked to TV on the ceiling as I was being treated. Given it was a public holiday, I thought the $50 public holiday surcharge was reasonable. We also had a pleasant interaction with Fauziah on the front desk . The whole experience was very positive. I recommend Dr Khaled if you need a dentist!

Fantastic experience: I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed by Dr Laith Matlub and had a really positive and supportive experience. My case was quite difficult but Dr Laith made sure that I knew all of my options, all of the possible outcomes and how he would approach the surgery. I felt very safe throughout the whole process and every effort was made to ensure my comfort. I had minimal pain and swelling afterwards and no complications occurred. I would highly recommend Dr Laith for wisdom teeth removal and he also does a wonderful job of a check up and clean.

Fantastic experience: Grateful thanks to Dr. Anuradha and her assistant, Tanya for the emergency work done a week + before Christmas 2023, the follow-up care and completion of treatment today (Feb 16). I had a fall that pushed my 2 front teeth inwards and needed emergency fixing. Dr. Anuradha consulted and treated me for nearly 2.5 hours straight in the late evening on a Saturday. I had 2 root canals done, in that time, splinting and stabilisation on the same evening. My teeth were saved although extraction was the other option. Future cosmetic options were also explained to me. The bill did come as a shock to me but I could not have asked for more thorough care and the work was done meticulously. Dr gave a small discount. The completion work took place today, a full 2 hours and Dr put in a permanent metal splint and did adhesive restoration on 4 teeth. This time, Dr gave a large discount and I'm so pleased with the result and the reasonable price. Thank you Dr. Anuradha and Tanya. I commend you highly for your excellent work !

Fantastic experience: Was my first trip to dentist in about 8 years and I was nervous, as I had a huge cavity in my upper molar which was super painful, and was quite bad.. Instead of going straight to a root canal they took other measures to save my poor tooth. I got the area cleaned out and drilled, and a filling which feels completely natural, not bulky or odd- feeling afterward. The experience (even through drilling!) was quite relaxing and I was so calm despite my initial anxiety. The dentist and nurse were warm and empathetic. Have booked in for a week to have another tooth repaired. Great prices too, especially considering the service being so good! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Came to see Dr Anuradha on Sunday morning with the emergency appointment for wisdom teeth, she was very professional, understanding and kind. Negative experience: With tooth pain over the holidays and my dentist away I had to find someone to look at my tooth. Whilst the patient interaction was fine I was disappointed with the pricing, $53 for an email referral and $45 for a pulp test which involved tapping the tooth. Something my dentist has always done as a part of the examination. Of course neither attracted a rebate from Bupa where I have top extra's cover.
