Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Hampstead Dental. Ellie was incredibly thorough with the clean, I’ve never had a clean like that before. Dr. Kris is also knowledgeable and made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality dental care.

Negative experience: ** HICAPS machine is always broken + DON'T BRING YOUR KIDS HERE ** 0/5 Receptionists who are rude, incompetent and lie to you about your own appointments. The reception staff seem incompetent with the HICAPS machine, frequently claiming it is broken or there is an issue with "your health fund." As a result, you will likely have to pay in full and then claim the expense back later. Additionally, booking a simple appointment at this clinic is unnecessarily complicated, and the receptionists are both rude and dishonest. I've had numerous bad experiences, but this one was the last straw. Christina falsely claimed she had tried to call me before my son's appointment, despite the dentist being on leave that day. When I explained that I couldn't have missed the call and showed her my call log as proof, she became rude in front of my child. My son, already in significant pain, started to cry once we got to the car because of how Christina treated us.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Hamstead Dental was very welcoming and supportive. They were 100% patient focused and made me feel at ease. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: The absolute best dental experience!! Before coming here I used to be so fearful of getting a clean because it was always a painful and uncomfortable experience. Since coming here 7 years ago to see Dr Kris for Invisalign and Dr Matt for my cleans they have both completely changed my mindset on coming to the Dentist. Now I look forward to coming, no fear whatsoever. Just a lovely experience where I am made to feel so comfortable, calm and always come out smiling! The ladies at the front desk are always so lovely and happy. Overall a 10/10 experience from the moment you walk in until the moment you walk out.

Over the years, I have undergone significant dental procedures, primarily in Europe. However, due to my poor dental condition, I sought out dental care here in Melbourne. Dr. Kris and his team have delivered exceptional work, including multiple tooth implants. Their expertise and dedication truly represent state-of-the-art dentistry.

Positive experience: I attended this practice more than 10 years ago, and have been a loyal customer. I switched from Australian Unity dental practice because the dentist spent only 30 minutes cleaning and checking my teeth. Over these years with Hampstead Dental, I have noticed a turnover of dental hygienists. The best hygienist is Mark from the Philippines. After the usual cleaning, he would use dental floss and pikster to clean my teeth again. My session with him usually lasted 45 mins. Now, the session with the hygienists only lasts 30 mins, and none of them are as good as Mark. This procedure of flossing the teeth is no longer performed based on my experience in previous sessions. On one occasion, I was supposed to see a hygienist and it was replaced by a dentist. He took only 20 minutes to do my cleaning. However, I will still support and recommend this practice because their receptionists are very good, and they offer a no gap treatment since I am privately insured.

Fantastic experience: This has been my practice for years, but a recent experience with Dr Raj has prompted me to leave a review as he and the team were brilliant. My mum was visiting from Germany and had a cracked tooth and strong pain that required immediate attention. Not only were they able to fit us in at short notice, Dr Raj went above and beyond. My mum has a real fear of the dentist, and her English isn't the best (certainly not when it comes to dentistry vocabulary) and Dr Raj and team ensured that they spoke slowly, showed pictures and drawings to explain her options, got informed consent, and made her treatment as comfortable as possible, never rushing us. Mum kept raving about her visit to the dentist for the rest of her trip, and told me a dozen times to thank Dr Raj - so this is me doing that! Thank you :)

I used to dread visiting the dentist, the cost, the experience and the whole ‘get you in and out as fast as they can’ approach however I have never felt more comfortable and looked after as I have with Hampstead dental.so much so I spend more time travelling to and from the practice than I do when I’m there. The team are wonderful and I love how you’re always greeted with a smile! I’ve had cosmetic and emergency dental with these guys and every experience has been great! Negative experience: Found them through the hotdocs app. Was put off first of all by their receptionist trying to get me to sign a form to release my data for marketing purposes. The dentist I saw kept reminding me I should have private health insurance which I can’t afford. They tried to sell me a package which I found out was unnecessary when I sought a second opinion. Unless you have private health insurance, I’d avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: One of the many things left behind in The Great Plague was my anticipated visit to the dentist to remove my wisdom teeth and have a clean. With The Great Plaque Removal put on hold, I wasn't especially hopeful of getting in to see a dentist any time this millennium OR of being able to afford it. So imagine my shock and joy when I found Hamstead Dental. Firstly, staff. Amazing, wonderful, kind from the front door to the back, they take the time to run you through your options and every step of the procedure. Secondly, prices. I mean, who isn't suffering with cost of living? I was expecting a bill for the wisdom teeth removal in the high hundreds or thousand - I paid just over $300 out of pocket (!!). Holy smokey toothpaste, Batman, WOW! Lastly, availability. "Would next week be alright" um excuse me next week? WOW! I thought next month if I'm lucky - but no, I'm in the door like some VIP at a club, cool sunglasses included! Seriously: if you're looking for a dentist stop looking. This is it. Just go here. Put it in your google maps right away.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing dental practice. Went here about a week ago for a check up & clean and to check on a persistent swollen gum. I was greeted by a dental hygienist who took some very uncomfortable X-rays and checked my teeth. I explained that I thought I’d possibly had a piece of food stuck in my gum which was causing the swelling. She ignored and instead insisted that I’d need a root canal on my front tooth and that I should see their other clinic for orthodontic treatments even though I’d already explained I’ve booked in elsewhere. The dentist popped his head in for all of five minutes to repeat the same two things to me. A test was done on my tooth to check the nerves were still working (they were) which didn’t change the opinion that I’d need a root canal. Which was then followed by the most painful yet unthorough tooth clean I’ve ever had. I was then followed to the front desk where the receptionist was told to book me in for their other clinics orthodontist and another appointment despite my reminders that it wasn’t needed/wanted. I declined both and left $230 later with barely cleaned teeth and what turned out to be a bit of popcorn lodged in my gum that I found myself days later. The whole experience felt like a money grab with no consideration to the health of the patients.

Negative experience: I don’t know how did they get a good reviews on google! My experience with them is terrible. I had jaw pain and booked them for assessment wanted just check if it’s dental related. They booked me in the morning then called me one hr before to reschedule my appointment to afternoon as their doctor didn’t come in. I went there afternoon waited there for one hour for my appointment. Then the doctor didn’t had time to check my jaw or a full assessment only rushed cleaned my teeth (just trying to use my money from my health fund). After my xray back on following week the doctor just convincing me to remove my wisdom teeth and he doesn’t even sure if the jaw pain related to my wisdom teeth. Just wanted me to pay $1000 for the surgery. I really can’t trust them. Went to different dentist to get the second opinion, this Maidstone dentist only polished my teeth and fix my jaw pain without big bills. I am so disappointed with hampstead Dental. If you only think about money rather than care your patients you should’ve called yourself as Dr. hope they lose their license soon. It’s all about money.

Fantastic experience: Went in thinking teeth or gum pain (issue) Dentist proceeded with 3 x-rays, 3 injections, teeth cleaning, shaving down of impacted tooth. Followed by seeing doctor, said not tooth, gum infection, said it was just an ulcer. Was very sceptical of dentist actions, must have seen ulcer???. Recommendations: DO NOT GO THERE!!! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. Please understand these dentists are very young and Eager to start making money. Not only are they trained to extract teeth they are also trained to extract money from the poor sap. Every time a dentist says something to you or asks his/her technician to reach for something they will bill you for it, never once explaining the fee involved in their actions until it is itemised in the bill. Free advise: book a dental holiday to Thailand 6 star dental hospital for a fraction of the cost. I did mention holiday was included yeh. Kindest regards BE VERY WEIRY OF THIS CLINIC.

Negative experience: After being a client of this practice since 2019 for a number of things invisilgn, check and cleans ect mainly because covid happend and I got stuck there I have chosen a different dental practice to go ahead with and this is why…. This place would have to be the more unprofessional, unorganised dental practice going around, from never calling once the aligners arrived to loosing them (a number of times) to not creating an online portal for me. The principal dentist of this practice Dr Kris Rajan was treating me and refused to give me any elastic bands even though my aligners all came with attachment's for bands to pull the teeth into place. (I’ve had invisilgn before and I know how it works) They swindled me into paying $7000 for the full comprehensive plan for 6 years and said if I am not happy I can just keep going with the treatment however each time I wanted to continue it was always a battle to get this done I later found out the dentist gets charged a fee when this happens so it sounds like they didn’t want to pay that small fee even though I have already paid $7000 ahead to cover all of this. At the end of the treatment the whitening is meant to be included however he did not offer it to me. To tripling the prices for a normal check and clean compared to other dentist around. Receptionist don’t exsist here. Lied about never receiving an email in oct then said in feb it was due to “Christmas” I am not sure exactly how that is 3 months before Christmas. Oh the list goes on and on but these are the main points. Stay away from this money hungry 1 star dental practice at all costs there are much more professional practices out there.

Positive experience: I been to this Hampstead Dental place over 10 years, very happy with every single thing from reception, hygienist and their amazing hygiene standards. Every 6 months my whole family comes here to check up and book in advance for next appointment and of course we have to book in with someone we feel happy and feel comfortable with. In last few appointments for some reason when we booked in with one particular person it turn out someone else and it happened 4-5 times already. I am not happy with this. Today I have my checkup/ cleansing after 6mths, the person who did it for me was a dentist , I believe she is new?? She doesn't introduce her name, not really ask me much about.my care routine at home like ... Do I floss at home etc . Overall after this treatment, I feel like I should come back to clean again by someone else because I don't feel she spend enough time to give me a thorough clean, very short cut compare what I normally have. Edit: The next day after I posted this review, Hampstead Dental Clinic contacted me and invited me to come back in and gave me a complementary clean with my requested hygienist. Thank you, Hampstead team, for looking after my family!

Negative experience: Unfortunately the filling put in by Dr Duong had to be replaced because it disintegrated within 12 months. Will not be returning.

Negative experience: Never bring your children here! Not child friendly, bad communication, impatient & rough. My 6yo boy was absolutely traumatised by such service and before we even tried to do his filling, we simply walked off! He was in tears and shaken. I’ve been a very long customer in this place & this was my last visit ever! Seeing my child so traumatised, in tears, afraid … is the worst thing a parent can experience!

Fantastic experience: I could not rate the staff at Hamstead Dental highly enough. From the lovely staff at reception to the dentists and oral heath therapist, all have been nothing but exceptional. I have recently decided to go through with Invisalign and have had some visits for teeth cleaning and fillings in preparation. Having a slight fear of the discomfort that comes with these procedures, the staff (in particular Dr Raj) made the whole process basically pain free! Fantastic experience: I saw Matthew today. He was nothing short from amazing I had Dr David come in and check my teeth also both Matthew and David were fantastic. Didn't try to upsell or get me to purchase anything that I didn't actually need. Friendly fun no wait time not in a rush easy to talk to and extremely friendly services. I would 100% recommend to anyone. Matthew explained all parts of what was happening even showed me photos of my teeth it was by far the best experience I have ever had at any dentist (this was not my first time at this dentist) but Matthew went above and beyond.
