Fantastic experience: The care and service is so great and the location is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Damian and it was an amazing experience. I was really nervous before getting my wisdom tooth removed, but the entire team at the clinic made me feel so supported and at ease. Dr. Damian was very professional and reassuring, the dental assistant was also very caring and supportive, and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient too. Highly recommend this clinic!

Negative experience: I spent thousands of dollars at Art De Dente for “treatment” which basically consisted of consultations, cleans and X-rays/photos with their periodontist Dr Anthony Franzmann and with their hygienist (who I assumed was a dentist but apparently not). While doing a clean Franzmann discovered an abscess. He did not prescribe antibiotics until I called asking for them (they messaged me a photocopy of the prescription which of course the pharmacist rejected so Priya insisted we pick it up in person!) I was advised I would need bone grafts at some stage and on my last appointment I was advised I would need to come back in January for a clean and Franzmann would pop his head in and have a look. At the end of last year I had some pain in the gum where the abscess had been. I visited a local dentist as I could not make it into the city. Upon inspection the dentist confirmed I had a tooth resorption which could not be treated and so I have now lost that tooth. This tooth was at the front and the gap is visible when I talk. The dentist checked all remaining teeth and found that I badly needed 4 fillings. Those teeth will most likely need further treatment as the damage was quite bad. One needed such a large filling that I ended up having the nerve removed because of the pain and am now having to decide whether to pay $4,000 to save the tooth or have it removed. She also picked up other problems which will cause problems in the future. None of these things were picked up by the periodontist or the hygienist at Art De Dente. I paid thousands of dollars to Art De Dente and I've now lost a tooth (and possibly another soon) and will be having extensive treatment because of problems that were not treated early. The clinic had been spamming me for months to come in for a clean. The last straw was Priya messaging me in May to make an appointment. I sent her a message advising everything I’ve mentioned here and she didn’t even bother replying. Funny they’re quick to message when they want to make some money or to advise they will be charging $100 if you cancel (see attached). Going by responses to other bad reviews I am assuming I’ll get a reply denying everything or saying I didn’t attend recommended appointments (I did).

Fantastic experience: My first time in Melbourne, and I required an emergency dental visit for a chipped tooth. Went straight to Art De Dente where I was thoroughly examined by Dr Mini and was given high quality treatment. She took her time and did a very thorough job. If anyone is residing in Melbourne and requires dental checkup, I would definitely recommend Art De Dente!

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Damian and had a really positive experience. I was a bit nervous before the procedure, but he was incredibly kind and helped me feel much more relaxed. I didn’t feel any pain during the extractions, and he made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It was also a really nice surprise when Dr. Damian spoke to me in Spanish, it made such a difference and truly made me feel more cared for and understood as a Spanish speaker. Positive experience: No, I’ve been there twice and the first appointment was with Dr Deon. I’m not surprised to hear others have similar reviews as it’s true - especially when the service is compared. I’d prefer to be anonymous to avoid any trouble. Thanks for your response though, you should have a private conversation with his assistant to see how clients generally react during the session. Doctors should be able to read discomfort from their patients.

Fantastic experience: I had a disappointing experience during a recent cleaning appointment with Dr Deon. When the X-ray bite tab was placed, it was done quite roughly and ended up scratching the roof of my mouth. During the cleaning, it felt as if my bottom gum was being scraped too harshly—I eventually had to stop Deon and ask him to be more gentle. Unfortunately, my gums were bleeding on the way home, and the discomfort has continued into the next day. That said, I’m giving full stars thanks to the friendly and thoughtful admin staff.

Negative experience: I have attended this clinic a few times and have been satisfied with the work and treatment until unfortunately, the last time I went for my front tooth which was chipped and I went to have it repaired with Dr. Anthony. 2 days later I called to tell them the same tooth was chipped again. They booked an appointment for me. I called the day after to confirm if i will be charged again to what was said that i will be even though it happened 2 days after to dentist had repaired it. They put the blame on me because i haven't set up a proper treatment plan which I would need a mouth guard because i grind and of course we all know that due to cost of living some things are postponed and I have explained that to Dr Anthony. I do not believe there is any way grinding could have made it chip in 1 night. It could have been the lack of expertise. The clinic cancelled my appointment and I was told I will need to pay for attending to repair. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional with lack of care or consideration of their patients. the receptionist said she will get back to me regarding this but i have not heard from them. Before this clinic I was at the same family dentist for 25 years and the only reason i changed was due to not being able to attend due to work so this place as closer. They never made us pay for these things and guaranteed all their work and that is something this place cant guarantee. It really comes down to the principal of the matter. I would think twice if your pocket isn't big enough. In response to your response, I'm pretty sure I paid each and every time I came back. I was advised the mouth guard would be after my gum treatment which was quite a large sum to begin with...... anyway moving on

Although my appointment was limited to a check-up, X-rays, and a cleaning—so I can't speak to the treatment procedures in detail and review—the care I received was exceptionally kind and nice. Every question I asked was answered clearly and thoroughly, which left me feeling very satisfied. What stood out the most, however, was the outstanding support from the reception staff. I had forgotten to bring a printed copy of the insurance claim form, and when I asked the dentist to help fill it out, the staff not only printed the form for me but also took care of everything I needed—going above and beyond in every way. I have never encountered such comprehensive and thoughtful service at a dental clinic before.

Dr. Mini was very thorough and spent a great deal of time explaining the importance of oral hygiene and the dental work I need to undertake. Definitely going back for the treatments recommended. A very positive experience compared to other clinics I have been to in the past.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Mini. My appointment was booked for 3:10pm, and I completed the online form before arriving. However, I wasn’t seen until 3:30pm, and the entire appointment—including two X-rays and the cleaning—was finished by 3:55pm. That’s just 25 minutes of actual service, for a first-time check-up and clean that cost nearly $350. The cleaning felt rushed, and although Dr. Mini said I needed a filling, she told me there wasn’t time to do it. When I raised concerns about the short duration, she insisted that “time doesn’t matter” and claimed she had done everything properly. I returned to the clinic to express my concerns. She agreed to take another look but continued to insist the original cleaning was thorough. I had to ask her to show me my teeth in the mirror—only then did I spot black stains that clearly hadn’t been removed. She said cleaning only removes calculus, not stains, but when I pointed to one stain, she removed it in seconds. That made it clear it had simply been missed. She then impatiently asked, “Any other ones you want me to remove?”—which made me feel even more uncomfortable. I couldn’t check my upper teeth properly, so I said to let it go. She didn’t say goodbye, and I left feeling dismissed. For the price and being a first-time patient, I expected professional, patient-centered care. Unfortunately, what I received was rushed treatment, a lack of transparency, and an unwillingness to take feedback seriously. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic.

Negative experience: The receptionist is ridiculous. Firstly, continuously ask me to pay the deposit before my appointment, and I did not pay it. Then, she called and angrily questioned me why I did not pay, and even blamed on me about my cancellation. During the whole process, I felt like I was not a customer, but a criminal. If you want to experience this kind of attitude, just make an appointment in this dentist clinic.

I’ve always felt I’m in safe hands with treatment advice I’ve received without feeling pressured into making treatment decisions. Suji has been my hygienist for a couple of years now and has always been very diligent in her work and has provided me with excellent guidance particularly with gum health. The practice is very well equipped which has meant my treatment plans over the years were managed from the one location. I can’t recommend this dental practice enough.

For the past year, I endured significant discomfort, including pain in my left ear, neck, arm, hand, and eye, along with severe migraine headaches. Despite numerous attempts to identify the cause of my symptoms, I remained perplexed. Finally, I decided to have my teeth checked and was referred to Dr. Peter Nguyen. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by his thoroughness. The examination lasted two and a half hours and involved a comprehensive assessment and a series of insightful questions. I was shocked to learn that all my symptoms were interconnected and stemmed from TMJ disorder. Dr. Peter took the time to explain everything in detail, providing me with a clear understanding of my condition and a well-structured treatment plan. His professionalism and compassion were evident, and I felt truly valued as a patient. I decided to proceed with the recommended treatment, which includes wearing a splint—one for daytime use and another for nighttime. I’m pleased to report that within two months of wearing the splints, I have already noticed a significant reduction in my TMJ pain and related symptoms. Fantastic experience: I would like to share my fantastic experience with Dr Peter Nguyen. During my first visit, I was amazed at how well he identified the exact locations of my pain, not only in my jaw but also in my neck, arms, and hands. I get really anxious at the dentist, but Peter was so calm and explained everything clearly, which I found really comforting. Many other dentists weren't willing to work with me because of my TMJ issues, but thanks to the treatment, including wearing splints and undergoing physiotherapy, I've been able to have the necessary dental work done, as my jaw can open wider now. Not only that, my hand grip strength has improved, and I don't have to ask for help as often to open bottles or jars. Even though I initially paid a lump sum for the treatment, Peter repaired a broken splint at no extra cost. He also checks in regularly to make sure everything is going well. I feel confident that my money is being well spent, as he is clearly knowledgeable and experienced. I believe that the improvement I'm experiencing is just the beginning, even though the treatment isn't complete yet. I highly recommend Peter for any TMJ treatment, and even if it's just for an assessment, as it could make a significant difference for you.

Finding a dental clinic for myself in the CBD started when I was obviously out there every day for work but even though I don't have to go into the CBD much anymore, I still wouldn't change my dental clinic as they are the best in my opinion. All staff including the admin/ front desk to the medical staff are all so welcoming, friendly and offer the best care. My regular scale and clean is always with Suji as she is just the best and most gentlest. She and everyone else take the time to explain everything and find you the best options for preventative and corrective needs. I have been someone who detested going to the dentist all my life but not anymore since I found Art de Dente. I've even had all my wisdom teeth extracted here. Fantastic experience: Art De Dente is so great, I highly recommend them to anyone especially if you’ve had bad dental experiences in the past. I have been going here since 2019. I was anxious about getting fillings because iv had very uncomfortable experiences before and asked about getting the gas when I made the appointment. This is THE BEST dental experience I have ever had! I have little to no pain at all and am always kept updated along with each filling. Extremely caring and considerate. Its such a relief to not feel pain and discomfort, I’m very grateful! Everyone is really lovely there too, very generous with their time!

Fantastic experience: The team at Art De Dente were incredibly helpful & informative. I was Dr Shady's patient & had my wisdom teeth removed. He was incredibly considerate & informative in his consultations, managed to deal with my troublesome wisdom teeth & showed genuine concern the whole way through.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed in the 180 change of attitude when calling to say I was running late and asked if it means I need to reschedule. Please don’t say “just get here” and ultimately hang up on customers. Appalling.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough assessments! I came for a gum assessment a couple of weeks ago and spent nearly an hour with the consultant who explained my gum recession and bone loss and treatment options in lay terms. (I have been to other periodontists who have rushed me in and given me a plan with little information.) As part of my assessment I found out I have a medical condition that affects my gum conditions - something nobody else told me. I’m very grateful for the care and in depth way I have been treated by all the staff at Art De Dente. TL;DR: if you want quality care see Art De Dente’s knowledgeable dentists.
