Negative experience: Called yesterday morning to ask whether my health insurance covers certain work and asked for the service codes. Was greeted by a lady with a nasty cough. She said I had to book to get a quote to get the codes to give to my health insurance, so I booked in. She then said see you in 2 weeks, and I had to explain again that I'm not after booking yet I just want to know if my health insurance will cover the work, please just send me the service codes for each job. Then she told the dentist was busy and she would get them later. Called back yesterday afternoon and was told she forgot and would get them first thing this morning. This morning no update and no answer when I called for a third time. I think the clinic must have changed ownership since it first opened 5 years ago.. Original review from 2020: Very friendly staff and an honest dentist who doesn't seem to push unneeded work. Have been here a few times and all have been positive experiences. I've never had to wait and left happy each time : ) Thanks a lot! I wish there were more dentists like Dental Gigi.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chin was lovely, very gentle and considerate of my sensitive teeth during the clean and didn't make me feel bad for the stains i have due to a braces wire. She also said i only have one filling when a previous dentist told me they needed to remove some old fillings and re-do them, even though i have no symptoms! Dr. Chin went over the photos and xrays with me to show that wasnt the case, so not only was the service amazing but they were affordable and realistic, my new dentist forever!

Fantastic experience: Dr Chin was outstanding! Definitely going back. Felt a genuine concern to help.

Negative experience: Two appointments made by me, both cancelled by the clinic. One they didn't even bother to call me, just sent a SMS, the second they called and cancelled a few hours before. If you don't want clients to book late appointments on Friday's, don't offer them. Poor customer service and I will going elsewhere. Edit - the first cancellation by the dentist had nothing to do with being unwell as I was sent a SMS days before. The least a service can do is call and offer to reschedule, your approach shows you are not interested in new clientele!

Fantastic experience: Our dentist is Dr. Francios, she is friendly and gentle. We appreciate her professionalism and find her to be a valuable asset in this industry.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for my son and sending them referral letter from his school dental, however they didn't inform anything and just gave us appointment. And while reaching there they just touch my son tooth and said they cannot do anything and asking us to pay 99 dollars. Paying 99 dollars for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I had my appointment with Dr. Chin that day and was assisted by Amy. I had cleaning done after hasn’t done it in a while and dr. Chin was very gentle and very thorough with everything. It took quite some time but it wasn’t too bad. They are very clear with what they are doing and what the next steps will be so it really put me at easy knowing what they are doing. Will definitely be back and bring my family in as well

Fantastic experience: Dr Chin at Dental Gigi has been my dentist since 2021 and she is absolutely wonderful. I have previously had a big fear of going to the dentist and have had many bad experiences at other clinics... but Dr Chin has completely solved this fear for me. Negative experience: For next day had booked an emergency appointment for a toothache, but the next day I received a call informing me that only a dental therapist was available, who would then refer me to the dentist. As a result, I decided to cancel the appointment. It would be better to directly book an appointment with a dentist for the emergency service. Thanks

Fantastic experience: Great Dentist. Not our usual dentist but we went there today with my son to see about an emergency repair/replacement retainer. Saw Dr Arvin who was great, gave us some honest advice (not much he could do with lab closures over Christmas/New Year) and didn't charge us for the visit.

Fantastic experience: Had one of my top wisdom teeth removed by Dr Arvin assisted by nurse Nita. Either my wisdom tooth was really easy to remove or Arvin is really good at his job, because I had a much better experience than my friends and family had with their removals, in terms of time in the chair/pain and recovery.

Positive experience: Clean, modern dentistry. Dr Chin was very chatty and did a good clean. But it was far more expensive than anticipated even with private health insurance.

Fantastic experience: First time going to a dental place ever since moving to Perth and firstly I was impressed with how upfront they are with their charges and what exactly you will be paying for, going in, I was a bit nervous but Baneen was ABSOLUTELY amazing, such a great person to talk to and she took her time to explain what was going on with my teeth and what she was going to do. Fantastic experience: Changed my dental clinic to Dental Gigi a number of years ago now after trialing a few different places since my regular dentist retired. I chose Dental Gigi as I felt it offered more up to date technology and an overall better service. I have seen a few different dentists at this clinic and have had no problems, most recently Dr Steven who I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Generally running on time, I've rarely ever waiting to see one of the dentists. Fees are up front and there's no hidden cost. Always seem to work for the patients interests and not the practice, which is rare. Becoming a regular visitor and my teeth have never been better, highly recommend the team at Dental Gigi!

Fantastic experience: Dr Steven was great with my 6 year old son at his checkup today. Very patient and friendly, and explained everything in an age appropriate way. My son felt very proud of the good feedback Dr Steven gave him about his brushing & the sticker was a lovely touch. My 3 year old daughter (who’s usually very fearful in medical appts) observed her brothers checkup & was begging to have her turn in the purple chair as we left.

Fantastic experience: I’m usually very nervous going to the dentist, but Dr. Jazeera was fantastic. She took the time to carefully explain what she was doing and observing, as well as checking in that I was comfortable the entire time.

Despite of a very uncomfortable and painful procedure dr Stephen made sure his patient was well looked after snd did not feel the pain at all. Fantastic experience: My family and I have been a part of Dental Gigi's clientele since they opened. We have always had efficient, friendly and easy going service. Two things I love personally from Dental Gigi, 1. Their extended hours of service mean that it is always easy getting an appointments time that suits you. and 2. Dentists that actually listen to your needs. The team at Dental Gigi definitely deserve this recommendation.

Negative experience: It was very nice, high skilled and professional years ago while Dr.Helen were still there. But for recently few years I changed 3 -4 dentists here couldn't find a dentist as good as Dr Helen. For general checking That's alright. But for root canal and add crown, my twice experiences were such disappointed. High priced after insurance with a painful, unusable tooth to go back home. My recently adding crown experience, That's the temporary tooth very rough shape and fell off in an hour without using for eating. I had to go back to dental put it back but it fell off next day again. In three weeks i went back the dental to put the permanent crown on. But during the operation I kept feeling painful and dentist couldn't find out why and had no methods to deal with it. Just said if keep painful in a week then need go back to check if anything wrong inside. In my opinion, it's dentist's duty to make sure root canal and tooth everything is OK before adding crown. Not so rush to earn money but didn't fix patient's problem. (Before going back to finish adding the crown I already regretted, because as my former experience it's hard to trust the dentist's skills but I have no idea how to deal with it coz I already paid half.) I'm wondering if there's any police can protect patient's rights.

Fantastic experience: I was recently referred for treatment at Dental Gigi from Dental Coolbellup Services from Dr Shiv at Coolbellup. Treatment under Dr Shiv in the previous year included: Assessment & clean, extraction, 2 crowns. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism, clear explanations, options & of course the work☺️ I have seen 2 dentists at Dentist Gigi; Dr Stephen and Dr Steven. Both exhibited the same level of professionalism, explanations & subsequent work. Dental nurse Jasmine was particularly helpful assisting me with the administrative aspects of the process☺️ From my experience I am seriously comfortable recommending Dental Gigi & Dental Coolbellup.

Dr Jazeera, as do all the other dentists at Dental Gigi, has her patients care and comfort at the forefront, taking a thorough but cautious approach. An issue I had was comprehensively tested which resulted in no need for further work. This then translates to less cost, time lost and potential discomfort to the patient. If an issue requires attention outside of Dental Gigi, then the team seek information from a specialist and get back to you with recommendations and/or referrals. For any quotes on items suggested by the dentist, the wonderful team at reception will check your health insurance fund to see how much you might be rebated. All of this equates to truly wonderful service which is why I entrust Dental Gigi with my oral care.
