Fantastic experience: Having been to a few different dentists, Dr Cindy Fang was by far the best! Patient, clear and concise when delivering information on what treatment is required, and gave a thorough explanation when talking through the images taken of the teeth. Plus, perhaps a novelty, but there's a TV above the bed which helps to keep you distracted if you're feeling anxious!

Positive experience: I had such a good memory with emergency treatment here years ago that I chose to return. I’ve seen quite a few dentists, including overseas, but NFD truly stands out. I recently had a comprehensive check-up and emergency consultation with Dr. Kalyan and Dr. Cindy. Kalyan is really legendary!-he offers more fundamental causes and solutions from a broader perspective. His thoughtful advice and gentle manner also really impressive, it turned a routine check-up into something that felt reassuring and even uplifting. His assistant was lovely too helped everything go smoothly with great skill. Cindy explained everything clearly and kindly, and suggested the best approach so I could move forward with Dr. Kalyan’s exam. She’s a wise doctor who understands what matters most and knows how to see things from the patient’s point of view. The reception staff were warm and efficient, and made scheduling simple and smooth. My gums are in pretty rough shape, so I’m very much looking forward to starting the treatment ahead. Thanks so much again, Kalyan and Cindy. I truly appreciate your care. See you again soon♡

Fantastic experience: Cindy is an amazing dentist. She pulled my wisdom tooth in the chair with minimal discomfort, taking the time to numb me thoroughly, even put numbing gel on my gums so the numbing injections were pain free ! 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: I met with Dr Kal for the first time after my usual dentist changed practice. I have to say that I immediately created a good rapport and after the initial consultation with him, I can say that without the shadow of doubt, I trust him completely that he has my best interest in mind (which we all know is not always the case). He absolutely earned my unconditional trust with his professional integrity after advising not to proceed with certain cosmetic treatments that would not be the best option for my dental health in the long run, but would be very lucrative for him. He was very clear on cost of everything and asked for permission for every treatment due to the cost involved. I can honestly say that I have never left the dental surgery paying exactly what was quoted to me and not a cent more. If you are not overly happy with your current dentist, or are looking for a new one, book in an appointment with Dr. Kal, I am so lucky that I have found him, and I can tell you, this is a standard of care that you probably never experienced before. I was limited to rating my experience in stars, but I would have added ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ if I could.

Fantastic experience: I'm a huge sook. I'm 40, covered in tattoos, have had operation upon operation in the past, including several misadventures in self surgery, but I'm still fearful of the dentist. Google pointed me to NFD after my tooth fell to bits, and the sterling reviews all ring true. If you're hesitant or anxious, take it from this stranger: you won't find a better dentist.

Fantastic experience: Great! I generally am petrified of going to the dentist but Cal was exceptional at explaining the procedures and operating on my teeth. I would highly recommend going here if you have dental phobias. Even the front desk ladies are lovely. Bonus was getting to see Cals teeth photos at the end. Best dentist ever!

Fantastic experience: I’m an Australian trained dentist, and while I was training I worked alongside Dr Kalyan Vorungati as a nurse. Watching him meticulously care for his patients, treat to a high standard and execute amazing dentistry had a tangible impact to the way I practice- and I still see him as MY dentist, because he’s that great! He takes high quality photos to explain what’s going on, checks to see if he’s addressed your problem areas, and makes sure to keep things as comfortable as possible. He’s now gone on to teach and mentor future dentists to perform to the calibre he does, and regularly involves himself with community work- the mark of a passionate and caring professional. I refer all my friends to see him when they can’t see me, and even my parents. I wouldn’t have anyone else look after me!

Fantastic experience: Dr Cindy is a really highly recommended dentist. She is detailed, kind, understanding and knowledgeable - truly a dentist you can trust. She doesn’t rush through procedures or make it scary, yet she still finishes her sessions in time and takes her time explaining your dental health to you at the end for a comprehensive understanding. She is very transparent and honest about procedure pricing and is happy to work with you through your options. The dental clinic is very fancy, and you get the premium service you pay for, both from the little details and treats in the clinic and the experience of the dentists. Bonus appreciation is that you can just text the reception for bookings and communication and it is a really easy and simple way of communication, especially for those with busy work lives or a fear of talking over the phone.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this clinic and Dr.Ping in general but especially if you have dentist fear / aversions. I had been putting off gum work for YEARS due to fear and pain I’d experienced at other dental clinics. However Dr.Ping was so accommodating (used another method to avoid blowing the air on my incredibly sensitive teeth which has never been offered) and made the whole experience anxiety free, explaining everything so thoroughly and creating an environment where you don’t feel like a nameless patient in the chair. My gum work was done with ZERO PAIN ! Which I couldn’t believe as I had to stop half way though at another clinic due to how much it hurt. I now look forward to sorting all of my teeth and gum issues out knowing I’m in good hands ! Thank you to the whole team <3

Fantastic experience: My experience at Fitzroy North Dental has changed the way I feel about dentists. They take the time to talk you through each process and give you opportunity to ask questions. I felt informed and prepared at every step. I had all four wisdom teeth removed in the chair at once and I was so apprehensive, but they made the process smooth, pain free and light hearted. I had nothing to worry about. For the first time, I really trust my dentist (thank you Dr Kal) and I now think about going to the dentist as something that doesn't scare me which means I know I'm going to stay on top of keeping them in good shape (which I have definitely avoided in the past!) Fantastic experience: Today, during our routine dental visit, my 8-year-old son needed a tooth extraction, for which I had prepared him in advance. Peter and Leyha ensured Oli's comfort throughout the procedure. Despite my familiarity with the practice as an employee, my husband and I were thoroughly briefed, reassuring us of Oli's well-being. Peter made the entire process, from administering the local anaesthetic to removing the tooth, painless. We’re grateful to Bella and Pear for making Kiki feel special during her appointment as well . Fantastic experience: Dr Cindy and her lovely assistant were so detailed in their check up of my teeth. I felt very well taken care of and confident in their ability to assess my teeth and their health. The check up was more detailed than any I've experienced before. I've had a fair few fillings in my life and this one was definitely the least painful, I didn't even feel the anesthetic injection! After this experience, I'm not going anywhere else for my dentistry. 10/10

Fantastic experience: Would give it 6 stars if I could! The reception team was so friendly and made me feel very welcomed during my wait. I had my clean with Bella who was meticulous and very gentle, I almost fell asleep. I later had my checkup with Kal who was also very thorough and took the time to carefully explain the condition of my mouth. It took a while to book this appointment but it was well worth the wait! Fantastic experience: I had booked in recently for an appointment to get all 4 wisdoms extracted with Dr Joe Lim, and was given some oral sedation just so I'm not anxious about it on the day of the appointment. The procedure and aftercare was explained thoroughly to me on the day of, and Joe and his assistant Leyah provided exceptional care during the procedure as well. The procedure realistically only took an hour so it was very efficient. And also just want to thank the entire NFD team for always providing exceptional service

Fantastic experience: Super lovely and supportive. The general vibe of all the staff is wonderful. Staffed mostly of women, which personally made me feel more at ease, and I’m sure would be of great comfort for those who would prefer that. Fantastic experience: I had to post again as I accidentally deleted my original review. I’ve been a patient of Kal’s for years now. I followed him from another practice as I needed some major work done and couldn’t trust anyone else (for reference, I am generally anxious is the chair so I am extremely particular about my dentist!). Kal and the team are warm, professional and knowledgeable. I am not in the least bit surprised with the ongoing 5 star reviews. The team are amazing!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend North Fitzroy Dental enough. I saw dentist Kal with chronic tooth pain. I had issues with it from bad work at a cheap clinic a couple of years before and was in agony for 8 weeks until I saw Kal. He not only rectified it, but took many photographs and X-rays to find out what was going on. Since that visit, he has identified any other issues and said he is about prevention first, and has given me many tips to keep my teeth and gums in great condition. Undoubtedly the best dentist I have ever seen. The staff are all friendly and understanding as well.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a check up and clean today ! Cindy and her assistant were amazing! So professional and answered all my questions . Explain me in details everything they were doing and what was going on with my teeth and gums. As for the clean, I have very sensitive gums which makes me jump on my chair while the dentist clean my teeth. Today , I barely moved on my chair, barely felt a thing ! Thanks so much I will be back !!! Ps: they were on time not like my previous dentist which were always late .

Fantastic experience: Had a full dentist checkup with Cindy and the photographs X-rays and walk through analysis were excellent, explained nice and simply with great detail and photos. Really organised, and we put together a plan to correct the issues found with some fillings and a crown fitted. Very friendly place and TV on the roof is also a great idea to take your mind off any nerves around going to the dentist ! I can happily recommend North Fitzroy Dental

Fantastic experience: The North Fitzroy Dental team were absolutely fantastic. After not having gone to the dentist since I was very young, I was quite nervous about it all. However, Dr. Kal and his team were all so lovely and talked me through everything they were doing. They put together a comprehensive care plan, and talked through all costs and options. Fantastic experience: Thank you to Peter, Stef & the amazing team at NFD for the exceptional care of my kids at their 1st dental visit. The kids really enjoyed themselves! The detail to attention on their favorite shows playing on the TV while they had their teeth checked was a great touch. Amazing staff and great atmosphere! Highly recommend this place. Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly and honest dentist, look no further than North Fitzroy Dental. I was super nervous to visit when an old filling fell out, as I’d not been to a dentist in 10+ years. Dr Kal was brilliant. He replaced my filling and I didn’t feel a thing - and that was without a needle! He explained everything he was doing, and I enjoyed watching the calming cat video as he worked. The people at reception are also very welcoming. I will definitely go back without fear!

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently had a wisdom tooth removed, and two meticulous cleans from the team at Fitzroy North Dental. They were friendly, professional and made what could have been pretty unbearable experiences, very comfortable. My teeth and gums haven’t been this good in years. Can’t recommend the team enough!

Positive experience: My experience at North Fitzroy Dental was really positive. Being my first dental check-up in a while, I was a little apprehensive, however, any uncertainty was quickly overcome by the staff. From the front desk to the consulting room the service was excellent.

Fantastic experience: In holidays in Australia, visiting family... I got a very bad infection under a crown. Seven days of antibiotics had changed nothing. North Fitzroy dental team looked after me and doctor Kal extracted this badily infected tooth. Everyone wad really nice AND professional. I had some very bad experiences with dentist in France but I have been so lucky to find this dental clinic. For people afraid of a dentist this is the place I reckon! Thanks again. Nicolas of France

Positive experience: Friendly staff but they always try to upsell you. I went to fix a small chip in my front tooth and they suggested to get a home whitening kit first (cost $350). I went to another dentist and said it was unnecessary because the whitening does not last forever anyway. Make sure you don’t get talked into any treatments you don’t actually need. Also, they charge $300-$500 for a filling. I got it done elsewhere with $150.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience today at the north Fitzroy dentist. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. I was quite uncomfortable about the state of my teeth and everyone made me feel so relaxed and fine about it all. Everyone was professional, efficient, prompt, and just lovely all round! I'll definitely be recommending to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Had all four wisdom teeth taken out yesterday by Dr Kal, and am already feeling just about back to normal. It was clear that my comfort was a top priority, and the experience was painless and straightforward! I was prescribed valpam to take prior to the procedure which got rid of the anxiety I normally associate with getting dental work done. Would highly recommend this dental practice to all!

Fantastic experience: A wonderful practice. I’ve been a patient for over 3 years. I’m a fairly anxious patient, with complex dental issues, and yet I feel at ease (happy even!) to attend my appointments. I highly recommend - I would give infinite stars if I could!

She took the time to explain everything in detail and double check I was happy and clear with my appointment and next steps before I left. Haven’t done treatment yet but the atmosphere, place and people are really nice so far, and would recommend based on that.
