Fantastic experience: Would leave 6 stars if possible. I had an abcess which a different dentistry tried to fix but unfortunately ended up requiring root canal. I switched to preventative dentistry at this point based on a recommendation by my partner. Dr Scott Park was fantastic. Explained every step. Took his time to make sure I was comfortable. Im 10 hours post root canal with minimal pain and a couple of neurophen. 11/10 would recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a pretty serious toothache in one of my teeth and was really worried about more tooth might need to be pulled out. But Dr Scott JS Park carefully examined and treated everything possible to save the tooth. The cavity was deep—almost close to the nerve—but thanks to the his skill and after care, the treatment went really smoothly and I have no serious pain at all since. What I really appreciated was how clearly the dentist explained everything, step by step, and talked honestly about what might happen down the line. A week ago, I underwent a dental implant procedure, and the entire experience was exceptional. I was well cared for, and the post-operative support has been outstanding. Dr. Park is always available to answer my questions and genuinely checks in on my well-being. Initially, the thought of getting a dental implant felt intimidating—especially after reading about the procedure and expected downtime online—but my experience was completely different. Dr. Park used keyhole surgery, ensuring the process was quick and minimally invasive. In just about an hour, he successfully placed two implants, and remarkably, I experienced no swelling, even after a day. I was able to return to my daily routine the very next day and can eat almost everything, except for nuts. If you are looking for a dentist and more so looking to have a dental implant, I highly recommend Dr. Scott Park.

Fantastic experience: Dr Park is so caring and honest. I am in the dental industry and travel to Canberra from Sydney to get all my checkups and dental work done by him and the Preventive Dental team. I see a lot of work done by many dentist across Australia because of my profession and a lot of what I see is sub par work. Negative experience: Be wary of Dr Scott Park. I can see many good reviews for this practice but the reality is totally different. Behind the fake smile and kindness of Dr Scott Park, his priority is $$$. He is knowledgeable and mostly does a good job but his business plan is based on charging multiple times. I have many examples but I won’t go through specifics to stay anonymous (unfortunately I still need to see him for an incomplete job). Generally here is his routine. You make an appointment for a hygienist, when attending, prior to hygienist work, he does the initial check and plan to extract as much $ as he can by creating a plan for you. When you attend next time to carry on with the plan, he starts nagging (of course with smile) that “this is taking longer than I thought” or “ I should not underestimate your tooth cavity”, etc. He repeats this multiple times and when you pay the bill it is well above what you were quoted for. If he is going to charge additional $$$, why nagging?. But wait, here is the worse part. He plans for something to be done at the next appointment. He says “I will fix this at the next appointment”. At the next appointment, without any explanation, he does something for 10-15 minutes and then he says “I don’t have time today, so instead, I fixed it temporarily. Make another appointment to remove the temporary fix and do it permanently”. Then he charges $$$ for the temporary fix and much much more to redo it. That’s why he smile. Not that he cares about you but how easily he can deceive people to extract more money.

Fantastic experience: Dr Scott Park was extremely helpful and skilled with my wisdom tooth extraction. After going to multiple dentists in Sydney who all refused to take out my tooth, Scott was confident and able to take out my slightly complicated tooth. He was very caring and reassuring throughout the whole process, making me feel confident and at ease. I appreciate his help and would absolutely recommend his expertise. I am happy to have finally found a dentist I can trust. The reception staff were also very helpful and able to fit me in within a week.

As usual they showed great care and professionalism in managing my dental health, particularly as I had come to the practice needing difficult restoration work and the fitting of a SomnoMed device. Fantastic experience: Dr Park fitted my Somnomed sleep apnea mouth guard and was very careful to ensure an aligned fit for maximum comfort. Since I've been using the mouth guard my snoring has reduced from up to 5 hours a night to less than 30 minutes. I attribute this to the good fit. Dr Park is aiming for elimination of snoring over the next couple of adjustment visits. I am much more rested, it has been a life changer. I highly recommend Dr Park to anyone who has sleep apnea.

Fantastic experience: Dr Park is the go to when it comes to sleep apnea dental devices. He fitted me for my original mouth plate a few years ago and recently there was an accident where a friends dog thought it was a chew toy. He was very understanding and did everything he could to get the new one turned around and made as quickly as possible. Cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr Ann is amazing. I have significant issues with my front two teeth ever since they were chipped badly in childhood. Throughout my life they had chipped again and again. I booked in with Dr Ann to explore if I could achieve a more permanent solution. Before seeing Dr Ann, my front two teeth were so discoloured as I had numerous temporary repairs to them. I went in to see Dr Ann thinking I would need to get veneers on 8 of my front upper teeth (as I was advised this by my previous dentist). Dr Ann developed a treatment plan and was confident that she would only need to veneer my front two teeth that were significantly chipped and that they would blend into my natural smile with some teeth whitening at home. I was honestly a bit nervous, but Dr Ann was very patient with me throughout the whole process. I have had some really bad experiences with dentists in the past and she was incredibly kind and patient with me throughout the whole process. Dr Ann did an amazing job on my teeth, so much so that I have to re-train myself to smile to show my teeth (because they look so great now!). If you need a great dentist in Canberra or are considering cosmetic dentistry in Canberra, go see Dr Ann and/or her team at Preventive Dentistry, they are fantastic!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Park for many years and he has always been exceptional. Recently, however I could not be more grateful to Dr Park and the preventative dentistry staff. After finding out I had to have my wisdom teeth removed very abruptly, I was sure it wouldn't be possible, but Dr Park fit me in. The procedure wasn't easy but Dr Park was amazing as usual and I could not be more thankful.

Fantastic experience: I had a molar that cracked due to excessive decay, and even though the tooth seemed to be too far gone, Dr Scott park came in and saved the day and the tooth that would’ve been taken out by any other dentist and for someone who was afraid of going a dentist, dr Park and his lovely assistances made the fear non-existent due to the lack of pain and due to the fact of how comfortable they made me feel. If you’re thinking of getting a check up through him I 100% recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I would like to share my very positive experience with Preventive Dentistry - in particular Dr Scott Park, for treatment for snoring and sleep apnoea. I was referred to Dr Park by my surgeon after undertaking a procedure with my nasal passage. I was extremely impressed with the level of care I received by the staff at Preventive Dentistry and by Dr Park. During our initial consultation, he took the time to thoroughly explain how he aimed to improve my snoring and sleep apnoea with the use of a mandibular advancement splint. Throughout the measuring/mould phase and then the splint fitting, Dr Park and the reception staff were very helpful and accommodating with my schedule. I have been using the device now for three months, and during this time I have had regular check-ups with Dr Park to ensure that the device is working to its optimal performance. This includes any required adjustments and talking through any issues or improvements that I have experienced. The mandibular advancement splint device took a little bit to get used to while wearing during the nighttime, but this only lasted a few nights. Since using this device my sleep quality and snoring have both improved, with more deep sleep recorded on my smart watch. I have higher levels of energy in the mornings and throughout the day. The device is easily maintained and not a burden during the night or when travelling. I highly recommend this device (Mandibular Advancement Splint) to anyone that may be suffering from snoring or sleep apnoea and would also highly recommend Preventive Dentistry Braddon and Dr Scott Park.

Fantastic experience: Scott and his team are fabulous, and always willing to go the extra mile to support us. Our son is autistic, and the team are super patient with him, taking the time to regularly check with him during each treatment to ensure he is comfortable with what is happening. Our daughter had a fall a few years ago, and Scott adjusted his schedule to provide her emergency treatment. He then messaged us in the evening for the next few days to make sure she was coping. We moved to Canberra approximately 7 years ago, and were recommended Scott and Preventive Dentistry by a work colleague. They have more than lived up to the recommendation, and we have passed on this recommendation to several others who have also confirmed how good the team is. Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Park for a mandibular advancement appliance for treatment of sleep apnoea and poorly controlled high blood pressure. After a trial of Cpap which I found very frustrating and uncomfortable I was desperate for an alternative. Dr Parks enthusiasm and encouragement was wonderful. He is respectful and totally professional and his detailed explanations cover everything you need to know. He is careful to take the time needed to make you feel comfortable with the adjustments and cheers your successes as they happen. My journey is not finished yet. I had my final adjustment yesterday but my snoring is greatly reduced and blood pressure readings are amazing. After 23 years I no longer take my blood pressure meds as I don't need them any more! It is exactly what Dr Park predicted would happen at our first meeting . I cannot recommend him highly enough and feel more people should know about him and his miracle appliance. I only wish I had met him years ago!

Fantastic experience: Recently l attended this clinic as support for my friend who was having major dental problems. He was seen by Dr Scott Park on the same day as he presented. He had had bad experiences before and was hesitant about going to a dentist. Dr Scott is an incredible dentist ! He made John feel at ease and explained every step so John was completely informed of all he was doing. He removed a broken molar and 3 broken teeth remaining in John's gums quickly and efficiently. John has more dental work to be done and was extremely impressed with Dr Scott. He will be returning to this very talented dentist for the next phase of his treatment.

Fantastic experience: I recently had Dr Scott Park manage a severely cracked tooth with a Digital Crown, and I could not recommend Dr park and his team more highly. My tooth was a disaster but Dr Park managed to save the tooth and I I can honestly say I cannot tell the difference to that if my other teeth. Amazing. From a young age through to my now much older years every dentist experience has been a bad and painful one, all of which had made me try to delay dental procedures for as long as I could. That all changed though when I was referred to Dr Park at Preventative Dentistry. With Dr Park however he puts you at ease from the start and ensures that your dental experience is a positive one. His focus is on trying to retain your teeth wherever possible and make sure that you receive the best possible care and outcome. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Scott is an excellent dentist i have ever met in my life. He dealt with my wisdom tooth extraction in a professional manner and warm care post extraction. He also did a great job in remove a wart in my mouth with painless laser machine in the practice. He followed up after the wisdom tooth extraction to see if I have any pain which i really appreciate his warm care for patient. The wart removal and the tooth extraction were done within less than 30 minutes and Dr Scott always check how I feel during the procedure as i have anxiety past bad experience on wisdom tooth extraction with another dentist elsewhere. i will definitely come back.

Fantastic experience: Visited Dr. Scott Park for a tooth problem. I visited three dentists before coming to see him as recommended by a friend. He is by far the best dentist I have visited in Canberra (7 dentists in five years). He is gentle and most importantly knowledgable and caring. He is a dental artist and came out with a very unexpected solution to treat my tooth problem rather than pull it out as recommended by two other dentists. Haerin Chei is also a great Hygienist. If you want a second opinion and thoroughly clean your teeth, I would highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Preventive Dentistry in Braddon for many years, as has my family. Scott is fantastic dentist and very personable! Always keeps up on the latest technology and techniques. I had my two front teeth crowned due to an accident having caused severe damage. The two front teeth look great, are super durable and don't cause me any issues. I've had them now for about 3 years. Also my recent appointment which was with the dental hygienist (usually a very uncomfortable experience) was very comfortable, especially with the latest technology and equipment they are using!! Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Preventive Dentistry for over 14 years, during which I have had multiple complex procedures completed with skill and care. Most recently, Dr. Scott Park did an implant for me which utilised a cutting-edge, atraumatic technique instead of the traditional method. Aside from the numbing at the start of the procedure, the surgery was painless and neat, and was over in less than 30 minutes (after the numbing), which was surprisingly short. After the procedure, I only needed to take two Nurofen over the first few hours, then no more painkillers in the week since. Considering the much improved technique and results, the implant was also very good value for money when compared to the traditional implants I have had. I was extremely impressed both by how advanced the technology itself was, by Dr. Park's skill in mastering it, and by his empathy in committing to make this technology available to his patients. In addition, Dr. Park has been very professional, communicative, well-prepared, and attentive throughout the entire process leading up to and following the implant. In my experience with Dr. Park, Dr. Stephen Lising (who has been my primary dentist over the past 14 years), and my hygienist Tennille at Preventive Dentistry, they have always had a sincere commitment to providing their patients with the most advanced, efficient, comfortable treatments and highest standard of care. I believe that they are also extremely in demand—if you can get a spot with them, your teeth will be in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I recently had an old crown replaced at Preventive Dentistry by Dr Scott Park. I feel I need to acknowledge the great work done by Scott to save my tooth. The old crown was over 20 years old and it cracked and broke (on a Malteser!!). Preventive Dentistry were, as always, very helpful in arranging an emergency appointment to fix the problem. Scott removed the old crown and said he was able to save the tooth rather than extract it, which was a great relief. He placed a temporary crown on my tooth and two weeks later, I had the new crown installed. Scott explained each step and ensured I was comfortable and pain-free throughout the process. It's never much fun going to the dentist but Scott is very friendly, skilled and professional. I've been going to Scott and Preventive Dentistry for about 10 years and I always feel I'm in safe hands. I should also mention the great dental hygienists at the practice - I've only been cared for by Tennille and Rachael and they are both so lovely and gentle.
