Fantastic experience: I called yesterday as I had broken a tooth and the staff fitted me in today to have my tooth looked at, Dr Conor was amazing, he made me feel at ease and has done a wonderful job repairing my tooth. Dentists are my biggest fear, so hats off for a job well done! Thankyou to the very friendly staff for making me feel so welcome, I will be returning in the future and very well priced. Negative experience: Very disappointed that after having a filling my husband developed a tooth ache over Christmas. Surgery was closed until the 2nd January then still no dentists working until the 6th January. I understand being closed on the public holidays but the other days are normal work days so should at least have someone there for emergency situations.

Fantastic experience: Dr Charlie has a friendly, polite manner and is very good at his job. He found the issue with my painful tooth and that can be dealt with and also spotted another tooth that needed a filling replacement, which getting it fixed tomorrow will prevent having bigger issues with that tooth. I’m happy to see Dr Charlie again tomorrow for my filling replacement.

Fantastic experience: Dr Matt is one of the most approachable and professional dentists I have ever come across. I intend to have a tooth implant done which is quite an involved procedure. Dr Matt showed me my X-rays and explained in detail what is involved. I was able to make an informed decision and now I have a really good idea what will happen. Dr Matt answered all my questions fully and with great confidence. We are lucky to have him here in Mackay!

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience for me. Katrina was detailed in what we should do and was empathetic to my situation. Plus, she was very professional as I felt no pain at all during my procedure. Already booked again for tomorrow after such a pleasant experience if you can call going to the dentist pleasant.

Negative experience: Went in to get a temporary crown recemented after it fell out. They grinded the same crown extremely thin. 2 days later l was brushing my teeth and the crown snapped at the base of my gums. There was no way l was going back to them so l got an emergency appointment on a Saturday with a different dentist who was shocked to see what they'd done 2 days prior. My emergency dentist had to build a new temporary crown and spent alot more time and effort to fix my tooth properly. My emergency appointment was also alot cheaper than my original appointment. So not only do l find this dentist incompetent they are also way overpriced!!

Negative experience: worst experience, had to book an emergency service as I was in chronic pain. Was in my appointment for not even a minute while dr Nicola starting clock watching. She was rushed and not interested in the slightest to helping me out. Not even a 5 minute appointment and they expected me to pay $150. I'm disgusted with how unprofessional she was and will be using 1300 smiles again

Fantastic experience: Katrina is so amazing! Saved me thousands and probably a lot of pain by recommending whitening and filling replacement instead of veneers. She’s really fun and honest, and gentle! I have sensitive teeth and she was really mindful of my pain through every procedure. Teeth look white and natural, very happy!

Negative experience: My Partner went in to get a clean and inspection for some quotes to repair his teeth. Walked in with enough money for the initial appointment. He never got his teeth cleaned as the dentist decided to go ahead and repaired his tooth without his consent or agreement and charged him an additional $485 that he didn’t have. Would not go here as they have left a family short of money a week before Christmas.

Fantastic experience: After arriving in January 2021 in Mackay I was looking for 'good' dentist. In March 2021 I was given 1300SMILES - Mackay as a recommendation by a work colleague of my wife. I have always found going to a dentist challenging and I was with my last dentist for over 25 years. Therefore it took me nearly another 9 months before I decided to go to 1300SMILES - Mackay. I wanted a scale & clean and a filling needed to be replaced that I had lost in March 2021.I rang them on 16 December 2021 and secured an appointment for the next day - a Friday. I opted to have my filling replaced and had to come back the next day on a Saturday morning for a general check-up and clean & scale. On both occasions dentist and reception exceeded my expectations - they were not only friendly and professional but also very empathetic to my needs. I felt immediately very comfortable with the dentist - Dr Katrina - who was very competent and had excellent interactive skills. After these 2 appointments I not found my new and trusted dentist but the other members of our family decided to make an appointment in the new year for a general check-up. A very pleasant experience with affordable prices. If you are in need of a dentist, 1300SMILES - Mackay is the one to go to. 23 May 2022 Further update: After being told over 3 weeks ago that I needed root canal therapy I was not only anxious but also ridden by fears and I had to convince myself to come back and continue the treatment. And then Dr Sandliye came into play. She allayed my fears by being both empathetic and very gentle while at the same time showing a high degree of expertise. If anyone needs any major dental procedure ask for Dr Sandliye at 1300SMILES-Mackay - and yes, 'she is the best'!

Negative experience: Travelled from Airlie Beach to see a dentist. Had tooth ache the night before,,so booked an appointment online. Fifty kilometres out of Mackay I get a phone call saying there’s no dentist on duty. I was able to see a dental hygienist who Took an X-ray and got a prescription for antibiotics off a dentist that was doing paperwork. All the staff I dealt with were very professional and did their job well. However I wasted a whole day driving with a massive toothache and headache. I live on an island, so don’t have the resources other people have. Would I recommend your company? No.
