Fantastic experience: I wish to commend Dr Haresh and his team for their dedication, care and service. I recently had a deep clean, scale and check up. Dr Haresh and his staff ensured that the procedure was pain free, that I was kept informed at each step and that I was comfortable. I am very confident that the best dental outcome was Dr Haresh's absolute priority and would commend his services to anyone.

Negative experience: In 2022 I had a bridge created by one of the reputabledentistthatownsthispractice. It is now 2024 and I am still in pain every time I eat. I am very disappointed as this reputable dentist did not take my pain seriously. I sought a second opinion from a specialist and was informed I would need a procedure to have a scope inspection which is a drill through the centre of the tooth and a camera to inspect the inside of the tooth and root which I couldn't afford. Once I communicated this to Shoalhaven Dental Surgery and as I was still paying off my bridge, my fee's were dismissed and so was I. I am posting this it has put me in a situation where I now experience regular pain as part of my life due to not being listened too.

Fantastic experience: Shoalhaven Dental Surgery recently completed major work in Nowra private hospital for me and i could not be happier with the outcome, i am not the bravest soul but Dr Haresh and his team completed the works with a minimum of fuss and there follow up has been excellent and all in all i have had an fabulous out come and much better than i expected

The care taken and concern shown was more than expected. If you feel uncomfortable or even anxious about the dentist, there is no need for that anymore. Negative experience: I had a very poor experience from the moment I walked in, unprofessional, unfriendly, late and rushed appointment. Not a single smile from anyone. No communication, I had no idea what was going on then had an X-ray instrument shoved into my mouth which I almost choked on. Dentist very rough and caused me a lot of pain after stabbing at a sensitive part of my tooth. Then rattled off some options to me which I wasn’t even able to fully understand because I was in so much pain. I opted to see a specialist because I was desperate to leave. I am traumatised from this experience.

Fantastic experience: Well! Before I start, I can't believe I have found myself giving a dentist 5 stars - but it is justified. They have changed the “baggage” I’ve had about dentists. Here is the story... I just started on a 2 and a half week holiday from Taree (mid north coast). First stop, Woollamia [Jervis Bay]. I arrived after hoping a sore tooth would resolve. Turns out I managed to split the molar tooth and had no sleep on the first night. What a way to start a holiday! Lying in my bed unable to sleep, laying in the dark bedroom, I drenched my face with the mobile phone light reviewing dental surgeries on the far south coast. These guys were my pick, I left a message before opening hours, they called me back. I explained my deal and they said come in for a consult. They were fully booked but would squeeze me in knowing my scenario. Dr. JIGISHA MEHTA saw me. She was very proficient and extremely professional. I was a taken back because she shared the results, the risks and the options. I wish my GP broken it down like Jigisha did. The tooth had to come out. I mean, the molar was bleeding through the split I managed to inflict. They couldn’t do it there and then, but fit me in after hours, at the end of the day. I mean it brings me to tears thinking about their understanding and willingness to help. I needed the help, it was miserable. Between 5:30 and 6PM, they saw me again, worked back and helped me because they knew my situation. I think I left at about 6:45pm. So not only are these guys nice, professional, polite, accommodating but also empathetic. After this event, I couldn’t stop sharing my wonderful experience I had with a pretty sh!tty situation. I highly recommend them. I’m disappointed they aren’t my local. I might now have to start holidays to Nowra every 6 months?? I’m grateful to Jigisha, but also the whole team. I recommend you try them.

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience in this dental centre. My dentist asked my to raise my hand if I felt pain during the procedure. When I raised my hand and tried to express my severe pain, he did not stop and performed the procedure regardless of my pain. When I returned home, I checked in the mirror and I saw a bad bruising in my mouth.

I have been a patient since the 1990''s and cannot recommend true professionalism with care, comfort and a painless experience with enough accolades. My last visit with a very painful broken tooth was an emergency visit and after arriving I never even got to sit in the waiting room. Service was immediate and very very effective. I wish any new patients are long and caring relationship the same as me.

Fantastic experience: I have attended Shoalhaven Dental Surgery and Implant Centre several times for different reasons over the past year and have been extremely happy with my experience and impressed by the calm, caring and professional approach everyone I have encountered brings to their work. The dentists really seem to care about their patients and do everything they can to set them at ease in what can be a stressful situation. They clearly explain procedures and are willing to listen and discuss concerns. Each staff member is pleasant and helpful and all seem to be valued and happy working there, making the atmosphere pleasant and reassuring for patients. The surgery is attractive, bright and well-ordered. Equipment is regularly and thoroughly cleaned. The ambience is calm and pleasant. Appointments are scheduled efficiently so waiting time is minimal in my experience but, if it is necessary to wait for an appointment, entertaining but informative videos are available for patients to watch. Often attending a dental surgery is not something many of us enjoy but I am very pleased I decided to go to Shoalhaven Dental Surgery and Implant Centre. I highly recommend them to anyone needing dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: Very professional operation, the surgery is state of the art with facial MRI scanning to ensure any issues are picked up. A tooth apex infection from previous long time dental work was picked up and diagnosed with pinpoint accuracy. Everything is done here in Nowra no need to travel. Highly recommended !!!!

Fantastic experience: I initially went to this particular dental practice because I awoke one morning to a cracked tooth and was new to the area but my regular dentist was located quite far away. I searched Google for Dentist recommendations in the Nowra area and read the reviews given to Shoalhaven Dental Surgery and Implant Centre which were all good and made an appointment with Dr Haresh Kankotiya. It was an great choice - he was excellent. I was given a prompt appointment by his lovely staff and soon had the tooth fixed professionally and pain free. As a result, I have now transferred my dental records to his practice and would definitely recommend him to anyone. I have been to his practice since and again received wonderful service. Dr Kankotiya and his team are refreshingly both polite and extremely professional.

Fantastic experience: Honestly the least stressful visit to the dentist of my life. I'm in Nowra on holidays from Canberra and part of my filling fell out at around 9pm last night. Called up at 8.30am this morning to see if I could get an emergency appointment and Shoalhaven Dental Surgery booked me in before 10.30am and I was all done within an hour. I told the lovely dentists I had a phobia of drills (nearly passed out getting the original filling) and straightaway they offered me noise-cancelling headphones and some stress balls to squeeze. I turned my music up as loud as it could go and it was over before I knew it. From now on I will drive 2.5 hours from Canberra to go to this dentist. Highly recommend this dental surgery.

Fantastic experience: Broke a capped tooth - got an appointment same day where Dr Mehta offered 4 repair options and explained the related procedural steps and timelines. I considered options overnight and returned the following day. Once again the overall steps were explained and I was told what "today's" procedure would involve. I hold a major fear of dental injections since a bad experience in the 60's, however Mehta was calm, patient and comforting and got the anaesthetic done with very little discomfort. Comfort wise, the rest of the root cannel procedure was a breeze for me. Subsequent procedures were completed with minimal delay between appointments. On completion my wife and grandkids were amazed at the match in shape and colour of my new tooth. Extremely happy with availability of appointments, professional friendly service, explanations and overall care. Top Marks Dr Mehta.

Great service, polite doctor and team, value for money. My mother in law which is of 71 yrs old gets unbearable pain in her tooth. I was afforded a urgent appointment. my mother in laws level of pain has been minimal to none due to Dr Jigisha's softly gentle caring approach. She is really patient and ensures to address each issue that her patients raise and provides her valuable insight. Her work is amazing and the outcome speaks for itself. Dr Jigisha explains the entire problems and procedures and makes my mother in law comfortable. Even after treatment she took day to day update about her pain and recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Jigisha's and Dr Haresh's services and expertise. Dr. Jigisha and Dr Haresh are very knowledgeable and genuinely cares for their patients. Negative experience: WARNING. My wife went to this place to be told fillings needed replacing, teeth needed filling and a crown required etc, quote $8000. It was only that they would not do procedures under GA (even though they said they did) that we went elsewhere...to be told fillings were fine, teeth requiring filling actually did not need filling and the tooth requiring needing a crown was filled adequately and doing fine. If you go here and get a big quote, I suggest you get a second opinion. Yes I was not present in the room but I am fully aware what my wife was told and what she was seeking. If work is not required, why tell her it is? She is in complete agreeance with my review.

Fantastic experience: Shoalhaven Dental Surgery and Implant Centre carries out excellent dental work. The Dentists Haresh, Jigisha and their staff are friendly and professional. My two children have their 6 monthly check ups at Shoalhaven Dental Surgery and Implant Centre. The dentist know how to improve my kids knowledge on their dental hygiene and helps them feel comfortable in a dentist chair. Fantastic experience: Dr Haresh is best dentist I have ever been to, period! He cares what he does to his patients and as such takes that bit of extra care to make sure your outcome is as good as possible. I have some major dental issues & have had a number of extractions & they have healed great, better than any previous extractions. Very little or no pain post operatively & when I did have a concern, (my own paranoia) , I was booked in the next day to check up on it, no problem, Haresh and his team are the best dental team ever!

Negative experience: We are so lucky to have a dentist like Dr. HARESH KANKOTIYA B.D.S. working in Nowra. He is a young but incredibly experienced dentist who is very passionate about his work. Changing now to 1 star as I now have no teeth due to having all the fillings done that I did. He will always attempt to fix your teeth in the cheapest way first and he will always attempt to fix your teeth before even considering pulling it out. This isn't always the best option. After all the money I spent having my teeth filled I am now toothless awaiting dentures. I wish that they had just taken my teeth out rather than spend thousands of dollars in fillings only to have them rot worse and be more painful over the last few years.

I received Invisalign treatment here in 2015 and have since received various treatments such as check-ups, cleaning and fillings. Dr Haresh and his team are very friendly and are always looking to do only what is best for me. I feel comfortable coming here every time and would not go anywhere else! Fantastic experience: Dr Haresh is a wonderful dentist. He is patient and caring and understands that there are many people who are afraid of visiting a dental surgery let alone getting dental work! Dr Haresh eased my elderly mother's fear of dentists and minimised her anxiety by extracting her teeth in a hospital setting. It was a successful outcome. Dr Haresh extracted my daughter's wisdom teeth in the hospital setting as well and I was so surprised by the swift healing and lack of bruising and swelling that I myself encountered when I had my wisdom teeth taken out many years ago. Dr Haresh contacted me after each of these procedures to check up on my mother and daughter. I have had a fear of dentists for many years but Dr Haresh has taken my fear away with his kindness and care and I myself had a tooth extracted last week in his surgery. Dr Haresh played my favourite calming music and the process was completely painless!! I would definitely recommend Dr Haresh as he is professional, caring and takes great pride in his work.
