Quakers Hill Family Practice

Positive experience: I have been to Quakers hill medical practice for few years and have wonderful experience. My last visit was dr Sujeeva due to Christmas break as my usual gp is not available. To be honest dr Sujeeva was quite rude. I’ve asked if she can printed a copy of the result for me. Her response is I’ll email to you. I then asked her again if she can print only this page so that I can keep it and bring to my specialist. And she said impatiently I will email you and told me They are not allowed to print to us as the cost of printing is high etc and start lecturing that the doctor shouldn’t print to the patient and the pathology doesn’t even send out results in hard copy anymore. I ended up change my practice and the new practice which is bulk billed and happily print the result to me even I’ve asked them don’t worry about it. On a side note, Other doctor and nurses in this practice are wonderful.

They look after you & make you feel that your being taken care of in a way that gives you confidence & peace of mind from their compassion

They go to extend of calling back and checking if everything is ok. Reception staff is very kind and accomadating to requests. We highly recommend QHFP.

I was called 5 minutes by my GP after letting the front reception staff know of my arrival. Dr. Nemeshi Fernando is very professional in delivering her practice. Giving the appropriate clinical assessment and health advice needed to be done to care for my health concerns/issues. Thank you for your care.

Fantastic experience: Excellent Doctors and the staff is so lovely and helpful all the time. Doctor Fernando has been my GP From the start of the practice and she is an excellent Doctor. I thank God for letting me be her patient. It’s a shame that Doctor Fernando has retired so early and I do miss her being my GP immensely. But all other doctors over at the surgery are excellent and I am very happy with seeing doctor indira at this time as I have moved to a different suburb but still consult the QHFP! Fantastic experience: It was very easy to get in touch with the reception and the receptionist was was very friendly and quickly allocated a doctor for a telephone consultation. Doctor Daniel listened to my concerns attentively and promptly gave medical advice and issued a medical certificate via email. QHFP has a well qualified panel of doctors who are caring and friendly such as Dr. Dhammika Wijayagunawardena, Dr. Nidarshi Fernando, to name a few. I highly recommend QHFP for others too.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been going to QHFP for almost 2 years now and they are by far the best practice we've been to ever. That is not an exaggeration. Their staff are competent, very approachable and provide impeccable service. The practice itself is clean and well maintained. There are ample services at the practice, including pathology and a nurse unit, making the visits very simple. The wait times are pretty much nil; we've been seen too on time almost every single visit. A massive part of why we visit QHFP, even though we live over 30 mins away, is because of Dr Nidarshi Fernando. Not only does she take the time to listen to your concerns, she is extremely thorough and well versed in the latest research. Her care and willingness to help has been very much the reason why we continue to go to QHFP and recommend them to our friends and family.

Negative experience: How much time would it take for one blood test, you might want to check with Pathology at Quakers Hill Family Practice, anytime you visit, the pathologist there takes 25mins per person to take one blood test completely ignoring if ppl are waiting or they may need to report at work. Only visit if you have time to wait.

Fantastic experience: our family of 3 generations (us, baby, and our parents) see Dr Nidarshi Fernando. (sometimes other doctors when she’s unavailable) all are fantastic. all are genuinely caring.. we’ve been going here since 2021. we had few emergencies, and they were able to accommodate us despite fully booked clinic, just to make sure all is well with us. The nurses there are all lovely and caring, Serena especially, who is gentle also with vaccine injections, she’s is very cheerful. Receptionists are also great and friendly! thank you everyone! we also get Blood tests / urine / etc there so very convenient. we also tried the dental clinic there. one stop shop. HotDoc app works there so i can do the booking online. otherwise, over the phone is also possible! We found this practice through high Google Review Ratings, and we found it to be our best GP / Family practice since living in Sydney. Highly Recommended!

The staff at the reception are very friendly, kind and courteous. My children are very comfortable with Dr. Nidarshi and have always got the right medical advice.
