Tooth Heaven

Negative experience: I debated posting, but this has been sitting with me since I left my appointment this afternoon and I was left quite upset by the experience. During my appointment, the dentist described my teeth as "grotty". A word that I found unnecessarily harsh, unprofessional, and frankly, hurtful. I understand that dentists need to be honest about oral health, and I’m open to constructive feedback. However, there’s a big difference between being direct and being disrespectful. As a patient, I expect to be treated with care and professionalism. Instead I left feeling embarrassed and self conscious. Our teeth can be a major source of insecurity for some people and I would expect more tact and sensitivity from my dentist.

Fantastic experience: I went for a whitening which I've never done before. The practitioner was super friendly and professional. I really like their service and the outcome is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful team, know what they are doing. They explain options and information simply but thoroughly, so kind and lovely atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Tooth Heaven is absolutely amazing! The team is incredibly professional, kind, and skilled at what they do. I always feel well taken care of every time I visit. I highly recommend them for any dental work you need – they truly go above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: Dr Jeff is the best dentist I've ever had in my whole life - he was very attentive, knowledgeable and comprehensive. I loved his PowerPoint on treatment options. The practice itself was very innovative, clean, cute (with little crochet teeth) and welcoming with modern technology. Will definitely be going back and want to make Dr Jeff my regular dentist.

Negative experience: Very new, clean, fairly professional practice, Dr Jeff actually articulated and addressed my concerns very well. My Clean was good. But let me warn you, if you have health insurance and are financially struggling, this isn't the place for you. For my initial check up and clean including xrays it cost me $195 after the health insurance claim. Cmon now that's overly exorbitant.... no? This is Flemington / Kensington not toorak or Brighton. My previous dentist is gap fee free twice a year for my check up and cleans. If you dont want to be excessively overcharged for xrays that they do in house, make sure you make it clear you do not want any xrays done. I was looking forward to meeting jolvin, seems like quite an impressive character with all his awards and qualifications, but I can confidently say that this practice is predominantly financially motivated.

Negative experience: Worst experience I've had for a regular checkup at a dentist, which was essentially a salespitch to convince me that I needed further expensive treatment (mainly fillings). I was sceptical of this advice, as my previous dentist hadn't felt fillings were necessary. But also, even BEFORE he'd taken a look at my teeth, Dr Jolvin told me all about how visits will work when I come back for future appointments, as if he already knew what he was about to recommend. He also seemed uninterested in discussing specific concerns I raised with my teeth. I've had multiple visits with other dentists since then and none of them have thought fillings are necessary for me, which confirms my impression at the time that Tooth Heaven was overstating my need for treatment. They were also unreliable, shifting appointment times without notifying me, and I've been inspired to write this review after receiving yet more emails from them despite "unsubscribing" multiple times. PS: this is the only time I've seen a business who reports every single negative review as "fake" (which they do even for a comment like "dr was rude", which is entirely subjective to the customer), so I won't be surprised if they do the same to me

Negative experience: On visit for my consultation, the dentist who saw me was friendly but in essence told me nothing new I didn't know before about my wisdom teeth. I paid $55 to have someone look at my teeth for 2 mins and then tell me he can't tell me anything about the wisdom tooth because he essentially wasn't qualified enough to tell and had to pass it onto a senior dentist. To edit: The only complexity involved was the fact that my wisdom tooth's location and impaction angle meant the removal surgery carried a possible risk of damage to a nerve serving the left side jaw and may have required a specialist to perform. What would have been preferable, instead of the 'eh I don't know' type response received, would have been a quote estimate on how much removal would have cost to be preformed by a specialist, if a specialist is available at this clinic and when, the alternate option to proceed with removal by a generalist in light of the possible risk and associated cost etc. etc. The receptionist was also unprofessional when I initially called to inquire about the consultation. When the call connect, I only heard a "Hi" so I wasn't sure if I had called the right place. I asked if it was Tooth Heaven and she also replied curtly "Yes" with no follow up so I had to actively ask if they provided services such as wisdom teeth removals or consultations.

Fantastic experience: Tooth Heaven have saved me from expensive dental treatment by ensuring that I have regular appointments with the Dental Hygiene team. The staff are friendly and helpful, the dentists are understanding of my fears and explain everything they are doing. They outlined several options of treatment for me to consider as I needed some work. Mothers often put themselves last with the expense. Their membership is affordable and great value. I have not needed any major dental treatment since I started attending regular appointments for preventative care.

Fantastic experience: Had my first appointment at Tooth Heaven and Dr Jolvin was so kind, caring and thorough! I so appreciated the time he spent with me explaining my options and choices. Honestly the best dentist I've ever been to.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jolvin and all his staff are outstanding in absolutely everything they do. From the moment you walk in the door they are courteous and treat all their patients with the utmost courtesy and friendliness. I used to have a fear of seeing the dentist however they have made me feel so comfortable it’s such a pleasure to see the dentist now. Highly recommend for quality work and care.

Negative experience: Unprofessional DONT GO!! first no a business should put they can speak a certain language on booking/advertise it if they can’t. I saw there are dentists who know Chinese speaking on the booking plus my another friend had emergency wisdom tooth removal there before so I suggested my this friend to go for this clinic as his English is bad and also he had pain and wanted to get wisdom tooth removed as soon as possible. My friend went there and very disappointed that there is no a dentist there can really speak Chinese, they told him to have some xray for check up, but didn’t do anything for him, and charged him for like $150! they even told him to go back after few hours to do a cleaning. My friend came after few hours, again no one there can speak Chinese, they did another xray, again didnt do anything including cleaning said they are busy but sell him another special deep cleaning package which costs like $1000 and asked him to make another 4 appointments to get this SPECIAL package done! My friend didn’t agree with it and walked out with another charged for $100 because he had another xray while they told him he needed it prior further procedure. This is the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard what on earth a cleaning costs $1000 and need to be done by 4 appointments?? plus my friend went there first is to get wisdom tooth removal by emergency with a dentist who can speak Chinese, obviously no one there can speak Chinese which is totally wrong on their website&booking portal, he didn’t get anything done and paid $250 in total , didnt have any copy of xrays he had done, also being asked for an very expensive SPECIAL cleaning!???

Fantastic experience: I recently got my braces taken off at Tooth Heaven and the results are amazing! I am loving my new smile. Tooth Heaven definitely have a great team that will convey you great service and results. It has a pleasant environment feel like family. During my braces journey of almost 2.5 years I must say all Tooth Heaven members had played a significant role. Firstly, I want to thanks Dr.jolvin for spending a lot of time from the start of my treatment to the end of treatment discussing all the pros and cons of each option available that will help you to make a decision and also for delivering great care and treatment at every appointment. I also wanted to thanks Dr.Ben for pulling out my teeth with a gentle approach and making me comfortable throughout the process. Dr.akram is great as usual. He has fixed my poking wires few times by staying back late that I really appreciate. Thanks to OHTs for giving me a really good clean and also educating how to maintain your hygiene during braces journey. A big thanks to all the lovely nurses for taking care and making me laugh during the treatment. Staff at Front desk is really amazing. They will always welcome you with a big smile the moment you will enter the premises. They have always tried their best to accommodate me whenever I have requested them to change my appointment. I would highly recommend Tooth Heaven to anyone who really wants to fix their smile. Thank You so much Tooth Heaven for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: I've always had the most wholesome experiences while visiting Tooth Heaven over the years! I initially started attending this dental clinic because of its great location but have remained loyal despite moving multiple suburbs away because the entire team are the most lovely and genuine folk. I've always felt so cared for and never judged when I visit. The entire team but particularly the wonderful Dr. Jolvin Lee have always been so kind and considerate of my needs as a neurodiverse person with mental health issues that sometimes impact my ability to care for my teeth. Dr. Jolvin is always attentive, has your best and most realistic interests at heart, is easy to talk to and very warm and funny. He ensures that decisions are a collaborative process and will patiently talk you through what the options are. I've had to book somewhat regular appointments over the last 3-4 years and will continue to happily book appointments ongoing.

Fantastic experience: Tooth Heaven is the only dentist I’ll go to. Dr Jolvin and the team work tirelessly to make sure that you’re looked after and really take the time to let you know the costs and benefits to all care they provide you with.

Negative experience: Staff are lovely but orthodontic treatments are questionable. Jolvin recommended braces for my son when he was nine, we were given a total but then when the braces came off Jolvin talked about there was a "second phase" which we would have to pay another few thousand for. Needless to say the treatment failed, as soon as the braces came off the teeth shifted regardless of wearing the retainers as recommended. I found it it quite unprofessional that Jolvin himself did not put the braces on but had his staff do it. My son had several brackets come off while eating the recommended soft food until I complained. We have been told since by 2 other orthodontists and a dentist that braces shouldn't have been put on at that time.... We feel very ripped off! Below is a picture of said "quotes and plans" that were mentioned in the reply.

Negative experience: Saw a dentist and had to rebook a follow up appointment. Booked with the same dentist at their front counter with clinic reception staff. When I received the reminder text it was with a different dentist. I called and they could not fit me in with the original dentist. Would not recommend for someone who is nervous about attending dentists. Poor communication.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wesley and team at Tooth Heaven are great. I experience a “dental” phobia due to trauma experienced as a child (1970s). The dental team were extremely compassionate and validated my previous experiences. I’m still not a fan of dentist however feel more comfortable & confident for next appointment.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. Everything was on time and it is extremely professionally run. The rooms and front entrance are extremely modern and clean with with vapours and air purifier running heavily to provide a most comfortable, hygienic experience, especially during this violotile time with corona hovering over us . Blown away, by so much attention to detail including a welcome bottle of water as you sit down. Dr Jolvin provides the best dental care I have ever experienced examining and providing me with solutions by priority.I highly recommend Tooth Heaven to all my family and friends. 6 star service without the price tag . Thank you Dr Jolvin and team for your innovative approach to Dentistry .

Fantastic experience: Tooth Heaven is a very professional dental practice in north-west of Melbourne. They have state-of-the-art equipment, and imaging has never been an inconvenience as they have them available on-site. Their service is stellar! My 9 year old daughter always has a wonderful experience in every visit - not forgetting the treat everytime. :) Dr Jolven offers a very personalized approach treatment plan and is very thorough in every step of the way. Caitlin has a very gentle and caring approach and both herself and Jolvin are very knowledgeable in dealing with kids, thus my girl's visits to the clinic is always a breeze. The staff are amazing, especially Amanda, and very friendly and professional. They always welcome you with their smiles :) They also offer in-house payment plans and in fact you don't need private health insurance to afford dental treatment as their in-house payment plan is way much better - NO excess fee and affordable. So, my daughter has been having her orthodontic treatment for more than a year now and I am very pleased with the progress and we have already achieved the outcome that we expected, as explained by Jolvin at the start. We're hoping her braces would come off sooner than expected. Thank you Tooth Heaven!

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to Dental Heaven but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff made me feel at home, they were amazing. Dr Akram, first explained the cause of my case, preventative measures and the treatment required for restoration. I was pain free and very relaxed for the entire treatment. Fantastic experience: The dentists and orthodontists really care a lot about the patients comfort and spend a lot of time discussing the pros and cons of each option available. It makes it a lot easier to get past the fear that some people may have of dental issues. In the last 12 months I have had fillings done, teeth cleanings, braces fitted and adjusted as well as just going through an orthodontic surgery. The dental and orthodontic staff are friendly, intelligent and seem to be highly skilled. The reception staff are super polite, friendly and caring also. I have absolutely no complaints about the services I have had and don't regret switching to Tooth Heaven in the slightest. Hope someone reads this and gives them a go, I think you won't regret it either.

Negative experience: Very concerning, one particular receptionist was asking me to pay more as she was giggling, if I didn’t turn up to my next visit. Although I cancelled appointments a few times the cancellation fee should be the same, which I paid every time. She looks like she is trying to milk money out of people by playing with them. It’s a real shame “my tooth heaven” because this was going to be my regular dentistry but thanks to that one receptionist it can’t happen. This happened a while ago. you know who you are!

Fantastic experience: Best Dentist I've ever been to and I'm 36 with multiple fillings, a root canal and used Invisalign. Prices are reasonable and they have a great private annual dental care plan. Dentists are very professional, friendly and informative so you get dental care and education. All other staff are also very professional, friendly and have amazing customer service. Would recommend to all and it's a pity they're just one clinic in Melbourne.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! The staffs are always friendly, welcoming and professional. I have been taking my daughter to see Dr Jolvin Lee. She had crooked and twisted teeth, after discussing the various options with Dr Jolvin, we start the Myobrace treatment in April 2022. After just 8 months her teeth are near perfect, and she has a beautiful smile. I’m absolutely amazed with the outcome! Dr Jolvin is fantastic with children, he’s able to make my daughter feel super comfortable and she loves coming to the dentist now.

Fantastic experience: Went in as an Emergency Patient and was treated by Dr. Jeff and his Assistant, The Procedure went well and Jeff was nothing less than amazing with alleviating my anxiety regarding my wisdom tooth extraction - And i have a big fear of Dental work in general. I cant recommend Jeff and The Team highly enough, will be coming back for my General Dental Work. The Receptionist was also great! She went above and beyond to get me in ASAP despite the packed Schedule.

Possible treatment plan was emailed just few minuted after I left the practice. Pretty extraordinary. Will definitely come back and recommend to my friends.

Fantastic experience: Heard of Tooth Heaven through family members. The receptionist staff have amazing customer service and greet you with your name. I would definitely recommend Dr Akram. I’ve never experienced a dentist who thoroughly goes through the before and after process in such detail. Dr Akram goes above and beyond for his patients. His work is truly outstanding. If you’re someone who is afraid of the dentist then he is the Dr for you or if you’re looking for 11/10 service then he is the dentist for you.

Fantastic experience: I have suffered panic attacks and anxiety attacks since I had a bad experience when I was 12 I am now 52 I have constantly avoided going to the dentist only going if I appsoultley are in so much pain and even then finding it difficult from covid the dental clinic closed and received a voucher as I had something wrong with my front tooth my crown and it was leaking I went to tooth heaven I was so scared but after my appointment there with this amazing dentist and his worker who took the time to put an anxiety blanket on me held my hand it was unbelievable experience for the first time I felt confident I am on the pension and with my last bit of money any day I would prefer to spend my money there than to go through a conssion dental facility again I have reckoned tooth haven to my daughter her partner and people on Facebook that are looking for a great dentist I thank tooth heaven for giving me the confidence to be able to go to the dentist 40 years of suffering great work such wonderful dentists could not recommend it enough thankyou so much SANDRA FRAME

Fantastic experience: I was just in this morning to get a wisdom tooth out, was book I at 7 and was out by 7.30 the staff at the front desk are amazing and very kind great atmosphere when you walk in, and I had dr akram he was amazing would highly recommend him to anyone he was good and calm make you feel relaxed hes good

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this dentist for a few years now and could not highly recommend more, like many I am not a fan of the dentist however from my first visit I have felt very comfortable and looked after, the team are kind and gentle and will take any worries into consideration.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jolvin Lee is very patient with me and making sure I got special attention and carefully looking into the tooth canal issues which were not properly addressed by a different clinic and spending time breaking down the causes and moving forward to start treating it and he also gives me the priority appointment due to the long outstanding problems. I felt loved cared and look after by him. Thank you Dr Jolvin Lee, love how you guide in pointers form and not assuming we all know how the tooth works and providing the best options which allow me to fully comprehend it. Fantastic experience: Tooth Heaven is probably the cleanest and friendliest dental practices I’ve been to. I took my two little girls there for their very first dental appointment. They were seen by dental technician, Thoa, she was so warm and welcoming with my girls. I really appreciated the time she took making them feel comfortable in the chair and explained everything we needed to know about keeping teeth healthy and the treatment plan ahead.. all in a fun and easy to understand way. My girls loved the oral care kits and stickers they received after their appointment was over. Thank you team!

Fantastic experience: I have always feared going to the dentist or often put it off. Love this place and all the staff. Easily the best experience I've ever had at a clinic hands down, wouldn't go anywhere else! Got my root canal sorted with Dr.Benjamin. I couldn't recommend him enough! Betty is awesome for getting your dental hygiene on track, such great and very caring service. I've moved house now and will always travel out to this dental clinic. If you are looking through reviews to see if you should switch up your dentist to this one, or make an appointment, please do! You won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: Dr Jolvin has provided excellent care from the start of the treatment. I had major teeth issues, and had braces for over 10 years in my home country and still my teeth issues were not resolved. Following a major accident , all my teeth were displaced and Dr Jolvin has been able to fix what I thought was unfixable. He has provided amazing patient centred care during the whole process, explaining each procedure thoroughly and giving multiple approaches to tackle each single issue whilst explaining all the costs involved around it. Dr Jolvin has been able to make me regain the trust that I lost into dentist. At no point in time I felt that I was wasting my time and money going there. And on a plus note, he has a good energy and is always welcoming no matter how stressful his day can be. He does his job with love and passion, which is a big bonus when doing such a highly skilled job. The staff also working there are all very friendly and very professional. I highly recommend Tooth Heaven services.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many orthodontists for consultations and was always disappointed because I am a “complicated case” but with Dr. Jovlin I was, for the first time, listened to and really understood! Straight away he was able to tell me how we can address my concerns and we brainstorm the way to go forward together! Would very very highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental practice. You are informed for the entire process. Tooth Heaven isn't there to try extract as much money as possible from their clients. The dentist will identify any problems, give you multiple solutions (with their pros and cons), and tell you the approximate cost associated with each solution/procedure. Additionally, their work is of high quality which results in repeat visits. And finally, the staff are extremely nice :) All in all, I can't fault this clinic on anything, and would recommend it for everyone.

He really enjoyed knowing that he has some adult teeth already and he needs to look after them because they will "stay forever"! excellent care and attitude towards him. From the first moment I walked in that door I was treated so well from the amazing staff which continued to help me and were so accommodating for my entire 2 and a half years of treatment. I asked if I could be referred to a hospital for further treatment (only due to my insurance coverage, I’d have loved to have the treatment at tooth heaven) and Sonia and the team couldn’t have been more supportive. Fantastic experience: I have been to a few dental clinics and Tooth Haven is the best one so far. First consultation with Dr Jolvin, he is very friendly, super consultative and provides a very transparent overview of the costs, pros and cons of each option for my teeth problem. After the consultation, I have absolutely no doubt the option I chose is right for me. Second meeting was with Dr Akram. Had a wisdom tooth removed with absolutely no pain or discomfort, and received very clear instructions to prevent infection. I cannot recommend Tooth Haven enough and I will definitely bring my family members here for future treatments.

Fantastic experience: I could not speak more highly of a dentist or a general service provider if I tried. I have had so many issues with my teeth over the last decade due to accidents and I’m always anxious to go to the dentist let alone get work done. Dr Jolvin and team make me feel like a celebrity whenever I’m there and make me feel so calm - I literally look forward to going there. Fantastic experience: My experience at Tooth Heaven has been seriously great. Everyone there is fantastic - all the staff go above and beyond to make each visit to the clinic not only comfortable, but enjoyable. I am in the midst of long-term orthodontic work and Dr Jolvin and the team have been super attentive, helpful and thoughtful throughout the process. The best thing is that, along with being very friendly, Dr Jolvin is very consultative. He presented a wide range of options for my teeth and took me through each one in detail, including a transparent overview of the costs, pros and cons of each option. He answered all my questions and told me what to expect, allaying any potential concerns I might have had before they arose. This helped me to feel confident that the option I chose is right for me, and will be great for my teeth in the long term. I can’t recommend Tooth Heaven enough - excellent dental care and wonderful service. Thank you!

Negative experience: Would not recommend going here for anything denture related at all. Hands down the worst experience I've had at any dentist in my 37 years on this planet. I had a tooth added to my denture but wasn't 100% happy, mostly with the rear of the denture which was no longer smooth after the new tooth was added. So I asked for it to be fixed, as well as some slight unevenness in the teeth on the denture. I feel like I was basically gaslit by not one but two dentists here, both of whom could not see the issue i was having with my denture leading them to believe the issue did not exist. And telling me they didn't think the issue could be solved because they couldn't see it (and therefore it didn't exist) They kept saying things like "adding a tooth to one side of the denture wouldn't affect the back of the denture" which is straight up NOT TRUE. Despite this confidence in themselves, neither of these dentists actually did dentures- they send them off to a third party. So they weren't even denture specialists who knew what they were talking about. And did my issues get fixed by the actual denture specialists.... YES THEY DID but not before these two dentists made me feel like I was making things up, like I wasn't believable and that the issues iwas experiencing were in my head. Not only this but when the denture came back both times it needed a slight adjustment which is totally normal and has actually happened each time I've had work on my denture but once again (was it dr ben?) this second time the denture came back the dentist did not believe adjustments should be required and didn't want to do any. When I pushed for a slight adjustment to make the denture more comfortable he put the electric dremil INTO my mouth instead of taking the denture OUT of my mouth. This guy basically seemed to have no idea what he was doing but made me feel the whole time like he was the specialist who knew everything and I didn't know my own body. I wouldn't go back if it was the last dentist on earth.

Fantastic experience: I spent over an hour in Dr Akram’s chair this morning, having 5 teeth extracted and a denture fitted. He and his nursing staffs are nothing short of complete brilliance. His approach and technique ensured a pain free experience, even 8 hours on I’ve not had the smallest amount of discomfort at all. Denture still fitting snuggly, no rubbing etc. highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Did well trying to convince my 4yo to sit in the chair and open her mouth. The special gift helped too and she proudly took it straight home and started flossing. Hahah! 4 times in 12 hours is some kind of record. She cant wait to come back!

Fantastic experience: Always a lovely experience with friendly reception staff, dental nurses and an experienced dentist (Dr Jolvin Lee) who cares and ensures you are never uncomfortable every step of the way. Appreciate the transparency with cost and the time taken to discuss all options before proceeding with a treatment.

Positive experience: All my experience here was 100% WONDERFUL, but not today. The Assistant was great, but the practitioner ruined the long-term overly good experience with tooth heaven. First waited 25 mins for a short 10mins scan, then when I'm inside the room, the practitioner was trying to put a white plastic in my mouth to cover my lips which is fine, but it hurts me without any warning, and when I react to the pain from the ripping of my lips, she told me, "Do you want to do it yourself?" (not in a nice tone), and made me felt like I had no other choice but have to put it on by myself, but without any knowledge of how to and without the help of any mirror, I don't think I can, after I told her I can't, and I don't know how to, she tried to put it on me again, and again it ripped my lip, and I reacted to it by making some noise, and she asked me if I want to do it myself or not again. When this is finally finished, and the actual scanning part wasn't comfortable. I was too scared to make some noise now, and when it was done, she didn't explain much to me about what happened or what was next; I saw the Assistant is walking out of the room; I thought I can go too, but been called to stay. Without much instruction on what to do, while waiting either, the whole thing was really confusing.

Fantastic experience: As someone with extreme anxiety and distress when going to the dentist I have found everyone at tooth haven to be absolutely wonderful. They have been kind, understanding, supportive and have never made me feel judged. They have been so supportive I've been able to keep coming back and my anxiety is slowly improving. Fantastic experience: What a team : all the treatments I had were very good . They discuss and stay flexible and arrange the best treatment and payment plan to allow me to have my treatment. Even with the challenges of Covid lockdown I found their management very efficient to reschedule the appointments. And on the top of that they are very good at respecting Covid hygiene rules, I felt safe. Very professional, efficient, polite and friendly team.
