Negative experience: Sarah was friendly and professional. She thoroughly explained Smile Club, how the retainers and teeth whitening process worked, all that would happen during the scanning and what l would receive post-appointment, and payment options. An efficient and delightful experience. I’m looking forward to starting the treatment and the results. Thank-you After writing this review and my experience of the service provided by Smile Direct Club, I would not recommend them to anyone. Smile Direct Club pursued payment after delivering a product that was ill fitting, cutting my gums, and causing significant pain. After implementing fixes advised by Smile Direct Club and one of their dental practitioners confirming I would need a new teeth straightener designed and produced nothing happened except tumble weeds and payment demands!
Negative experience: The worst customer service I have ever ever experienced. I have been following them up on my terrible experience for months, with my emails ignored. Add to that the product does NOT work. If you speak to any dentist they will tell you to stay away. Save yourself a lot of headache and look elsewhere.

Negative experience: My partner decided to not continue with the aligners within two weeks as he started to feel unsure, after speaking to his dentist. Returned the aligners, contacted Smile Direct Club which said they would contact us within 5 days about the refund, but we haven't heard anything. Contacted them again and they said the person we spoke to didn't inform the right person and now they have taken more money from the account instead of giving a refund. We have made phone calls and returned everything except the used retainers. A refund process shouldn't be this difficult when their customer service to purchase the product was super quick. Almost 2 months later and still cannot get a refund. Instead we have been asked to pay money, even though it was returned within the 30 days.

Negative experience: Won't let you order retainers to retain your newly acquired expensive teeth if you are paying on the monthly payment scheme they press on you when you first order your aligner set. Seems like your straight teeth will only be temporary for no more than a year before moving back into their old position due to this.

Negative experience: You will find out pretty fast why it’s so much cheaper than Invisalign! A few months in the trays on the bottom wouldn’t fit at all and folded over at the back of the trays making it useless! I had to go back into a clinic and get my teeth re scanning for new trays which took 6 weeks to arrive to me. That meant I had the same trays in for 7 weeks so no improvement with my teeth in that time! I started the new trays for 4 weeks and now the same issue has happened. So I have to go back into a clinic and get re scanned and more trays made so another 6 weeks! DONT USE THIS COMPANY it’s a cheap product that’s not moved my teeth much in 5 months now (I was told my teeth would take 6 months) Use Invisalign it’ll be worth the money in the long run. I couldn’t regret Smile direct anymore than I do! A joke of a product I would not use it if it cost $1000 if I had my time again!

Negative experience: I definitely do not recommend. Zero adequate feedback. I lost a lot of time and money with Smile Direct Club They can't even organize a second 3D scan due to the fact that their treatment didn't work and nobody answered me after a month. 5 months of painful treatment went nowhere. Now I am negotiating a refund and receiving compensation. I'll go to court if they don't agree to meet amicably. Please pay attention that here in Google does have not any good reviews after a treatment. Everyone satisfies the office and staff which is good but massive problems start when you calling to support, email or use the app for contact. I'll update my review later.

Negative experience: Very bad connection with existing patients. My treatment didn’t work and I asked for the last touch, but in my case, it is not the last touch is a new treatment. I contacted with Smile Direct immediately when I realised something goes wrong, but I didn't have any feedback. I called, texts email and contacts in-app for one month nobody answers me. I definitely NOT recommend that company. My feelings like I was dealing with mental house but not dental company. Never and never again. Don't go there because in the office everyone nice and lovley but if you need extra help you must deal with a third part company who provides customer service and they are absolutely don't understand anything. They just say “we will contact you in 4-5 business days but they will answer you in a month and it's in case you will text and call them every 4-5 days.

Fantastic experience: Went in today and experienced possibly the most amazing service I have ever had in my life. I was assisted by Lauren, who was very helpful and incredibly friendly. The lady at the front desk, I think her name was Antonina, as well. She served me perfectly and efficiently. I felt very comfortable in the shop and and it was lovely to chat to the beautiful staff :)

Negative experience: Well same thing happened with me, Guys the staff are nice, and the customer service but the truth they will not straighten your teeth, they asked Me to pay another $350 for another touch up, so be careful guys, they will not exactly know what to do, the aligners are not good enough to straighten your teeth. Negative experience: Really disappointed with my result I started wearing aligned s from March but till now zero improvement I tried to contact with customer service team for help I did send all the evidence via photo through email stated I will be advise within 10 days but nothing yet information provided I spent more than 2000$ all my hardwork effort to earn that money and get spend to get perfect smile destroyed everything. I truly dont recommend smile direct club to anyone. I have been trying to contact them but truly this is worst of the worst experience and waste of my money. I would like to tell the team it is very hard to earn money so please do not give false hope and earn others money in a fake way. I gave my full trust for this slingers to get best result and get confidence on my face but I am really disappointed for not getting effective or I can say zero result.

Negative experience: Went for appointment today but was told need to sign up for plan. Research is important before scheduling an appointment. The advertising used by smile direct is rather deceptive because it makes no mention of the need to sign up for a payment plan BEFORE you even see the results of your 3D scan.

Negative experience: I wish I could give minus 10 stars. Very unprofessional and all the tall claims are not there. Doing treatment for last 1.5 years. still teeth not alligned. Reqested another set and now smile direct club wants $149 extra every month. Poor communication. oncemoney is paid you are on your own mercey. I wish i had gone to my dentist.

Positive experience: Do your research before you book an appointment. The marketing material smile direct use is quite misleading - there’s no mention of having to sign up to a payment plan BEFORE you even see your 3D scan results. Make sure you are 100% certain you want to go ahead with them before wasting your time going to an appointment as once you are there they will try to sell you the whole package.

Negative experience: Possibly the worst experience I have had with any company to date. Four months ago I requested to purchase new retainers as my existing ones had broken. It took six weeks to get a reply, and my teeth had already shifted dramatically. Due to this terrible service, I requested a refund for my treatment. To date, I am at 20 emails, six phone calls, and over four months since my initial reach out and still being promised a return call from an "account" manager, which has not happened to process a refund. NSW fair trading will be advised, and I recommend staying away from this company. Happy to take your money, but unable to fulfil their service

Negative experience: The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Smile direct had incorrectly deducted over $700 from my account. After raising this with them multiple times, they only refunded $500 of this. Still waiting for the rest to be refunded and have not heard back from them after multiple attempts at contacting them. It’s been more than a month and I'm still waiting…very unhappy with this level of service

Negative experience: My close friend purchased some aligners from Smile Direct Club and her experience has been dreadful, she told me that the aligners have left her mouth in cuts, ulcers and her teeth are now worse then before. She expressed her concerns and requested a refund, however, it has been months and they have yet to process her refund. Their customer service is disappointing and unacceptable and she has had to go through Fair Trading to resolve the matter.

Negative experience: These guys are an absolute scam and once you have finished paying your instalments they cease all communication and will leave you with a incomplete service. I've now been waiting 10 weeks for a response about a new aligner touch up but no reply, called and continually told wait 24 hours for then nothing to happen. Stay away from SDC.

Positive experience: 4 month plan turned into over 12. fair enough, it happens but if something doesn't go right, you can't actually talk to an orthodontist which is frustrating. Although my teeth are a lot straighter, they aren't where they should be and I wish now that I spent a little extra and went with invisalign TBH.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing. After losing my last aligners I applied for a touch up request and had a 3D scan at Martin Place. I'd asked if we can expedite the order as my teeth were rapidly moving and I didn't have my last set to hold their place. Five weeks later and after calling them they never approved the order so the new set hasn't been started to be made yet. They've just advised me it's going to be another 4-5 weeks. With 12 weeks out of aligners my teeth have moved back, and instead of the 6 months plan I will now need to restart and this will be taking TWO YEARS. I hate that I lost my aligners, but in no way should there have been this gap that's resulted in me needing to start again.

Negative experience: Very poor & disappointed experiences~ Book my session last Friday 7th of Jan for 10am Saturday 8th Jan. I went there on time but there is no one in the shop, so I called their customer services, being asked to hold the call for 5-6 mins then told me that my appointment is being cancelled without any notification (no sms no email no phone). The girl with an Indian accent (I assume their call center is in India) kept ask me to reschedule on Monday without any sincere apology, which I found quite annoying. In the afternoon I received an email saying they missed me, so I guess my appointment wasn't being cancelled otherwise why I didn't receive any notification instead an email saying they missed me and asking me to reschedule with them. Very poor experience of their booking system, unprofessional-ism and customer services.

Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed by this company ! At my very first visit I was promised some very good results, and I was greeted with fabulous care. From the moment I paid, everything started going wrong - I was initially supposed to do a treatment for 8 months, and now here we are - 2 years later and my teeth haven't moved one bit. 3 of my aligner sets have been sent to me broken, many of my aligners didn't actually fit even though I did 2 scans in the shops and one from home. I have also contacted the customer services on multiple occasions and I always get a different person on the line who doesn't seem to know anything about what's been done/said to me (I strongly recommend you take notes of all phone exchanges). Today I'm still paying for these aligners, even though I have decided to stop the treatment since there is no improvement with my teeth whatsoever. I do not recommend that you go for this option, sometimes it's worth paying more to get proper guidance and treatment.

Negative experience: I have perservered with SDC for over a year and the bottom line is the aligners did NOT work for me despite 2 scans and 2 sets of aligners over more than 12 months. The real problem is trying to cancel to get your money back. I emailed Hayley over and over every day and no reply. In the end I had to cancel my bank card because they wouldnt stop taking the money from my bank account. Over 3 months after they agreed to cancel the subscription - they are still calling me to take money from the account when in fact my card is cancelled. This is a terrible experience which is a shame becuase I wanted it to go well. But in truth it just didnt work for me. But still I haven't got my money back even though they agreed to cancel my subscription. Now I have to go to NSW Dept of Fair Trading to have Smile Direct Club bought to account for what they have done to me...

Negative experience: This company is a joke. Their customer service is so poor and slow that I have decided not to have treatment with them. Everything was going well at first. Easy to book appointment for 3d scan and the appointment went well. After that though was ridiculous. I hit sent my treatment plan around a week later. The video only showed my top set of teeth being straightened. There was no explanation on why my bottom teeth weren't moving on the video. I tried to call customer service. It took 2 days before I managed to get a call back. They then had to get an orthodontist to explain which took another day. Turns out my bottom teeth can't be straightened which is fine. The problem is it took me 3 days for this to be explained to me when it could have just been in the email. They also sent me a prepaid gift card as part of a promotion for booking a 3d scan. The code didn't work. I have been trying for ages to find out how to get it working. They are very slow to reply. I constantly have to chase them. Now they have palmed me off to the gift card company but haven't told me how to contact them. There's no details on their site as to who to contact if there's an issue. This company has a lot to learn.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only done the consultation but my SmileGuide Emma was very informative and seemed very knowledgeable. She covered everything I needed to know sometimes before I could even think to ask. I did repeat myself a lot but she was patient and I had a lovely chat with her. Negative experience: Horrible customer support service. Aligners didn't fit, waited almost 6 weeks for new ones to be sent out and they sent the same ill-fitting ones. Took them weeks to get back in touch about a smile scan so I could continue my treatment but in the meantime my aligners had snapped and were no longer usable. Had my scan in December 2020, and now back to square one almost 6 months after initial scan. Wouldn't recommend to anybody, I would pay extra for a better service instead of dealing with them. They'll also ask you during the initial consultation to leave them a 5* review on Google for a further discount.

Fantastic experience: I attended for a 3D scan. I experienced excellent customer service and Covid-19 safety precautions were followed. Regarding the 3D scan, I am happy to have chosen this over the at home moulding kit, as I was able to see everything in real time and also was provided with more information about the entire process.

Fantastic experience: I read lots of reviews before attending today and was very wary of the "hard sell" approach that lots of people describe, though this couldn't have been further from my experience today. I was looked after by Laura who was totally lovely, patient & understanding. When explaining my insecurities about my teeth/smile she was so genuine & empathetic. My partner joined me for the appointment and Laura answered all of our questions and was really engaging. I was quite nervous about the consultation as didn't know what to expect and have never had good experiences with the dentist but Laura made me feel instantly comfortable. It was the end of the day on a Saturday and she was still full of energy & gave amazing customer service - thank you Laura!! Excited to get my aligners & start seeing some results. The whole process seems quite straightforward & I feel re-assured that SDC offer further consultations FOC if new scans etc are needed during the treatment plan.

Negative experience: It seems they want everyone to write a review before actually getting the aligners, I was happy with the service on the day and was excited to start my journey! But it’s been 6weeks now and I’m still waiting for a dentist to approve my scan to get my aligners, a bit of false hope really!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with them. Both Alice and Antonina were super friendly but professional. The appointment was quick yet informative and having the scan (and how amazing it is!) instead of having to get the molding done was mind blowing - love that! I can't wait to start my treatment!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I didn't make it to the purchase. The inital consultation was great very personal and informative (though didn't appreciate being asked to give a 5 star review there and then). The customer service after this point has been it's downfall. Long wait times to get through to the dental team. I made 2 follow up calls to try to correct the type of aligners I wanted - which still were not rectified. I kept missing calls from a random number daily, when I finally answered the call- they asked how I found the service with the dental team. When I informed them of the poor experience, his response was "I'll just cancel your order then". No attempt to resolve the issue, no apology, no follow up email, nothing.

Positive experience: I arrived on time and had to wait a fair bit. I wasn’t in a rush so it was ok. The girl who served me was very enthusiastic and explained everything very well and clearly. Maybe she made a little too much small talk, asking what I did during the day etc. I really wanted in and out in half an hour. It took over an hour and a bit and had to pay $60 just in parking . So I was really disappointed with that. I also tried the free teeth whitening device and the blue light didn’t work. So that was another disappointment. Lastly, although I love the idea , because they charge $299 deposit as soon as your “approved” for treatment.. it’s a bit of a scheme. I would be more comfortable with them asking my permission if its ok to proceed. I also read some reviews after the appt and there were quite a few regarding the delivery and for the actual aligners and the fit I’ll have to think about it the next 49 hours

We always want to remain transparent and provide accurate information. After one has completed their scan, they are given the option to sign a form called a Fast Track form that will offer 2 different payment options, full pay or smile pay. We do not require our customers to fill out and sign this form. The option to sign is available to those who are wanting to get started as quickly as possible. If one chooses to sign the form, the aligners will be ordered and put into production the moment the treatment plan becomes available. If they choose not to sign, a link to a 3D version of the treatment plan will be emailed to them and we will await their approval before the order is placed. Negative experience: Booked an appointment online and got cancelled a day before. Then the re-scheduling was a complete misunderstanding. It’s not that easy for anyone to plan ahead on a Saturday morning then all wasted. Fantastic experience: I have to share my extremely positive experience of having my initial consultation in the Sydney Westfield (Pitt street), clinic today. I went in very hesitant and quite anxious at what would happen during my visit. For the last 3 weeks I have been trying to find an orthodontist to help me understand what I would need to do to start my journey towards straight teeth. I never ended up booking any appointments with the orthos because the people I spoke to on the phone were not helpful at all! I tentatively booked a free consultation with Smile Direct in the Sydney CBD. The booking itself was easy and there was a lot of information on the website around success stories etc. I was met at the practice by 2 very warm and helpful women, one of which was Emma the "smile guide". Emma was thorough, kind, supportive and professional. She explained every element of the process ahead of time, took a generous amount of time to answer all of my questions and didnt rush through anything (even the sign up fees). I felt so confident in everything that I was signing up for by the time that I left and I cannot wait to start my journey towards a new me :) Thank you Emma! you are doing amazing work and bringing many referrals to Smile Direct through your beautiful service.

Fantastic experience: Booking an appointment was easy. I booked the previous night and receive a detailed sms the following morning on how to get there. Emma, the staff that helped me was nice and patient. She gave me all the information I needed and carefully ran me through all the things I needed to know. Negative experience: Hi, I placed my aligners order in mid October 2020. It was meant to take 5 weeks to arrive. It has now been 10 weeks and I still haven't received any email confirming that they have been produced and are on their way to me. I have contacted SDC multiple times on your live chat, via email and on the phone and I still haven't heard any update from you on my order. It seems that you have forgotten about my order but you are not forgetting to debit my bank account with payments every month. I am writing here because I am desperate to receive my aligners! Can you please help?!

Fantastic experience: The whole process was a pleasant surprise noting my previous (repressed) experience with braces and orthodontics. Smile Direct club (calling it a club is a bit lame, but I'll get over it.) clearly strives to deliver personal customer service.
