Our Medical Penrith: Reviews
Negative experience: This place takes on too many patients. Because of this there is always a long wait and they don't have many staff on. All these facilities and only 2 doctors rosters. But they will keep taking more patients on for more money. They don't care about your health here. They opened the doors at 8am and the doctor only just turned up at 8:40am. 1 doctor and the place is full of people. This place is a joke!
Negative experience: Absolutely awful, the wait times are despicable, book an appointment 30 minutes prior to seeing the doctor and then have to wait another 1hour 30mins for the doctor to finally call out the name, then, once seeing the doctor, I wish I hadn’t come at all, the lack of expertise is revolting, came in with an ear infection, doctor prescribed me with ear drops, glands swollen as well but doctor has no idea because they’re not trained as efficiently as they should be. However, with that being said, absolutely nothing wrong with the ladies at the front desk, they are lovely and understanding, the only reason this review gets even 1 star is because of them. Don’t come here, as sad as this is to say you’d be better off doing your own research on Bing.
Negative experience: Horrific waiting times for phone calls, left on hold for over 30 minutes at a time which happens every single time I call.
Negative experience: 19.08.25 . 11month old son split his lip. Was looking for advice if required stitches , Glue or hospital . Attempted to see the urgent care clinic at 6.50pm . Was Told they cant see anymore patients as they close at 8pm . They had 3 other patients waiting. Normally our medical is open till 10pm for GP services. Dr. Calling in sick without back ups on call is concerning. (Including the UCC) turning away patients especially baby. Whats the point of having it. Our hospitals are struggling and overflowing but also medical centre. 1 star is for reception staff attempting to help but seemed to try find more excuses to deflect patients from the practice. May be an overreaction review but frustrated !
Negative experience: Apparently at capacity at 6pm, barely 10 ppl in the waiting room (and open until 10pm according to their opening hrs). Only notified this when i was standing in the clinic registering on their app. Disappointing
Fantastic experience: 5 stars for Cathy! Always super helpful.
Negative experience: 3 years ago it was great but now it’s taking forever, I’m here now , it’s been 2 hours waiting for GP
Negative experience: If you have 3.5 hours to kill, head on down. When I finally got in I needed both pathology and imagine, both gone home 1.5 hrs prior. Straight to Endone as pain management. Brooooo, that ain’t it. Add to that, they max out their Medicare cap and cut off appointments well before their listed open times. It’s giving scam.
Negative experience: Poor communication. This centre is supposedly open until 10pm, but it does not answer phones after 5pm (as per recorded message if you call). So you need to drive there only to be told that they are taking no more patients (this was at 6.30pm). Surely you could add this to your phone message to save wasting the time and effort of sick or injured patients.
Negative experience: New update for those playing along at home. Here we are again. Been here almost 2 hours. Selected a doctor. 45mins ago was told there was 4 people in front. SHOCK guys theres still 4 in front. Have now changed to first available which I had ti do myself after going to the useless receptionist who said she would change it for me only to come to me 5mins later asking if my name was Naomi. No mate its not. And her to say she's not good with remembering names that start with the same letter. Now this may sound rude but maybe she's not the option for the front counter. Decided to opt for first available unfortunately for me got Dr Haque. She's useless. In under a minute and after waiting 2 hours, her touching my skin with NO GLOVES ON ,her opinion was "u just have to wait and see". Safe to say i went straight to reception and told them this was not good enough. And got a second opinion which was to go see a doctor at the skin cancer clinic. Well update review 3 years after my first Got here at 830am. Currently been sitting here for 2 HOURS and 4 people still in front of me. The wait times are still absolutely ridiculous. Firstly Dr Pope is great BUT wait times are absolutely ridiculous. I got here at 9am with less then 5 people waiting and got my name down to see Dr Pope. 2 hours later I am still sitting here. I watched at least 6 people arrive, go in to see Dr Pope then leave. I approached reception who informed me there's still 4 people in front of me. The wait time should not be this long and people walking in after me should not be going in before me. And don't bother making a tele conference call because the wait for that is over 2 hours as you keep getting pushed back in the line for walk ins. Just because you call at 9 the 20 people who walk in after that will be seen to before you. Update Doctor pope got started at 8am. I got here at 830am. How is there already a 3 hour wait with 24 people in front. Time to stop taking new patients. Ill be finding a new doctor.
Negative experience: My dr retired and I needed all my files for my new dr. This centre charges $66 to have your files transferred to your new dr. They will do a summary statement but if you need all files you pay. My husband and myself are pensioners so $132 just to continue my medical treatment is to expensive for us. Don’t know how a family of four could afford these charges. I researched other centres in Penrith, most do not charge. Others charge $30. Taking advantage of one’s health just to make is disgusting.
Negative experience: This is one of the, if not the worst doctors surgeries in the area. I only ever visit when my regular doctor is closed and nearly every time I have had a bad experience. I’ve waited up to 4 hours with my 4 children for an appointment before we we ended up giving up on and never got to see a doctor. Yesterday I brought my 6 week old in to have his vaccinations, only to be told there were no nurses available to give them and was told to return the next day. I went in today and waited 30 minutes to see a doctor, did the appointment and was then told they were out of stock and couldn’t do the vaccinations today and I would need to come back next week. Why was I not informed this the two times I checked in at the reception stating that I was there for vaccinations?? Needless to say, we will not be back and I’m taking him elsewhere. What’s more, they can bill that pointless appointment through Medicare. It might be bulk billing but I would rather pay to support a practice that invests in competent doctors and better customer service
Negative experience: 2 and a half hour wait to see a doctor at 9am on Sunday. I sat those 2 and a half hours as I needed a course of antibiotics. While im not a human nurse or doctor im a vet nurse. I know an infection when i see one. I went in because i had what looks to be the beginning on tonsillitis. Saw a female doctor in room 20 (cant remember her name) she took a look at my mouth, told her my symptoms- soreness, trouble swallowing and hard time eating solid foods. She gave me a referral to an ENT which i would not be able to get into for months. No antibiotics, no pain meds- nothing. Ended up at another doctor where I received antibiotics which are doing their job.
Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Kathy at the Penrith rooms. She really helped me out in an emergency.
Fantastic experience: Big raps to Lexie on reception when I came in the other night for an ear infection. A long wait, but so grateful to have free medical care, so no problem. Lexie was very sparky, warm and even helped with pointing out local dinner options when it was obvious the wait would be lengthy. Takes a special kind of person to keep it bright when being a medical receptionist. Doctor Nagvi was also polite, friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: I waited for hours just to see a doctor. I told them about my symptoms and I was told I’d be fine, it’s gotten worse overtime. i will be going to a different medical home next time. I don’t recommend going here either.
Negative experience: Cathy was so unprofessional & rude! She constantly was rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing about having to do her job. Do not work in customer service if you don’t want to treat people with respect. Felt like my partner was being interrogated. Absolutely disgusting behaviour will not be back here again! Update an hour later: Cathy came up to me in the centre and verbally abused me telling me to take my review down and then asks me to go out the back of the centre with her alone to “talk about it”, I responded saying I was not comfortable with that and will not be removing my review. I also asked if she tries to intimidate every person who leaves a bad review as there are MANY! Lucky I can stand up for myself and was not at all intimidated because others may have reacted differently. She clearly looked at the fact I am young and thought I wouldn’t be able to defend myself. I am absolutely APPALLED!!! * If HR or a manager higher see this please reach out to me asap as I will be finding a way to follow this up! Thanks
Negative experience: Hello. I'm posting here hoping that perhaps ONE individual takes notice or finds this helpful. My one star rating is for the respectful and helpful woman at the service desk this evening before 6:00pm and same for the nurse who checked my vitals. A warm and sincere thanks to you both. As for the doctor, pharmacist and other staff, I would like to invite you to consider an empathetic approach and behaviour towards other human beings. We are all going to be injured, fearful and have many overwhelming experiences in our lives. We will all age, we will have accidents, illness and need assistance, regardless of job titles, ownership, wealth and access to resources. You or someone you love or care for may need assistance from a stranger one day. Perhaps being mindful of this will assist in your journey? The profits are immeasurable. Should you think my post is a crock..... that's fine. At least provide the basic requirements (explaining what you are doing, why, medication etc).
Negative experience: Nahhh! Waited nearly two hours today, look online and there isn't even a doctor fostered on until later. They refuse to answer the phone. Ridiculous waste of time! You'll also be waiting in line while the GIRLS ignore you to chit chat about their weekend/studies - WHILE PATIENTS ARE WAITING.
Negative experience: Male receptionist was quite rude when I went up. I asked how long the wait was-2 hours long. Then realise I met criteria for urgent care was told gp doctor and urgent care doctors were doing the same today as there was no urgent care doctor available then was told to go to urgent care reception urgent care reception told me I couldn't see urgent care unless I saw a GP first to make sure I met criteria when I said I do meet the criteria on the board they said. No, you still need to see AGP first. Isnt the point of urgent care if you have to see a GP they said yes but not today...
Negative experience: Doctors are okay (most of them) but their system to actually see a doctor is ridiculous, waiting 2+ hours in peak times to see a doctor is terrible, and now on the app you can’t even see how many people are waiting for each doctor or how long the wait might be. If I knew I would be this long I wouldn’t have booked in with this doctor. Unfortunately not all of us have all day to sit at the doctors and the level of disregard from the receptionists is just disappointing.
Fantastic experience: Came in requiring stitches and was very impressed with service. Doctor and nurse were efficient, friendly and professional. Triage process was quick and friendly.
Negative experience: Absolute joke of a place. Never accepts patients after 6pm but the waiting area is empty?
Positive experience: I'd like to send a big thank you to Lexi the receptionist. My daughter wasn't well late in the evening, and although the doctors were at capacity, she managed to help us out. Thank you Lexi!
Negative experience: The website says they are open until 8 pm but when you go to the center they stopped taking patients at 7pm.. they refused to see my 14 day old daughter who is covid positive. Very disappointed
Negative experience: If you’re open until 10 BE OPEN UNTIL 10. I needed a script for an infection at 9:45 no drs there! Gross!
Negative experience: Love waiting an hour and a half to be told nothing is wrong with me then a few days later my condition worsening. Some doctors act like they don’t care for your condition and just want you out asap. More and higher quality doctors are needed here
Negative experience: Very disappointed in this centre. The first time I came, the doctor was amazing. She was caring, genuinely wanted to help me. But, in the space on a week, I’ve been turned away, not listened to, and now the doctor I was supposed to see left before seeing me. The doctor had 4 patients in front of me, saw three, then left. I’m sorry, but where is the duty of care? I’ve been told numerous times there is usually 7 doctors rostered, but at least in the last 2 weeks, they’ve only had three, one doctor after 6 o’clock. It’s disgusting. Honestly, there’s no point going here unless you want to wait 2+ hours for the doctor to say there’s nothing wrong with you, or not being seen at all.
Negative experience: Very bad wait times, staff have no idea how long it takes to see a doctor. They tell you it's a 45 minute wait and nearly 2 hours later you're still waiting. At least give a reasonable time frame so people can make an informed decision.
Negative experience: Dr Okoroma Igbojiaku was the worst medical experience I've had. This is the first time I've actually been so disgusted that I went ahead and made formal complaints. He was rude and dismissive and offered no help. When another doctor at the clinic offered to assist us, she admitted he had written medical notes that he had actually given us assistance. The only assistance he offered was a post it note with another clinic to attend. The reception staff and other doctor were lovely but he was a disgrace.
Negative experience: Excellent clinic, nice doctors, waiting time is ridiculous. I waited 2 hours and 20 mins for a medical certificate that took the doctor 10 seconds to print out. I think I'll go somewhere with less waiting time I think.
Negative experience: The waiting time for appointments is excessively long, with a one-hour wait for a general checkup. Additionally, I found Dr. Nasrin Haque to be dismissive of my health concerns. The doctor lectured me, stating that if I am breathing and experiencing no pain, I am healthy, which I found inadequate. Customer service at the facility is also substandard. To address these issues, I recommend increasing the number of doctors to reduce waiting times and improve patient care.
Negative experience: I had a very negative experience today. I received a text message from non medical staff to attend the centre as they had received correspondence and results regarding a mammogram I had done. The results were to be discussed with the GP. I attended and sat there for over 2 1/2 hrs for nothing! Everything was negative ! The GP was lovely and wondered why I was there. I said I had received a message from the centre to attend and discuss my results. The results had not been reviewed by any GP, but the non medical staff only because the results were sent to them. When I saw the message, I naturally thought the worst as did my family, it caused unnecessary stress, I had to leave my work place aswell, leaving it short staffed as no one wanted to spend the weekend worrying about the results. It should be the Medical staff who make the decision re contacting the patient.
Fantastic experience: Attended the medical centre late Friday afternoon, expecting to check in to see the next available doctor and wait hours to do so. The receptionists took one look at my child's hand and cancelled my check-in to escalate him to urgent care. The triage nurse in urgent care was fantastic, and we saw the urgent care doctor very quickly. Returned for an x-ray the following day, and we were added to the list to see a doctor again by the receptionist. The receptionist was brilliant, and the whole urgent care setup up is so much better than waiting in ED for a non emergency medical thing. P.S. Urgent care is not for chest pain. It's for non emergent medical care and very minor procedures like a few stitches or a broken finger.
Negative experience: Unfortunately I have had a very negative experience at this clinic. I attended last week for ongoing hip and groin pain following a fall the prior week. The doctor I saw did not examine me, nor did she get a medical history or any details of the fall. She did, however ,reiterate several times that she would not prescribe analgesia, I had not requested any. I was told it was likely a soft tissue injury but she would order an X-ray anyway. I asked about follow up and was told to make another appointment. I had the X-ray and then proceeded to drive the 40 min home. Halfway into my journey I received a phone call from the clinic advising the doctor had left a letter at reception for me to collect. I asked what it was about or if I could talk to the doctor. Both were declined. I returned to the clinic and was handed a letter referring me to the local hospital for follow up of a fracture! I again asked to speak to the doctor seeking clarification of the fracture location and likely treatment. The receptionist advised me to wait outside the doctors door and go in between her patients! The doctor was unable to provide me with any details of the fracture or likely treatment. She just said, again, she would not prescribe analgesia and to go to ED. At this stage, despite being in obvious discomfort, I had not asked for any analgesia. This was not an acute issue and it is my understanding that the whole purpose of these clinics is to ease the pressure of unnecessaryED presentations. I did not attend Ed but was able to get into another Gp who was able to give me a treatment plan and much needed analgesia . VERY disappointing experience. I’m sure simply referring patients to Ed without proper assessment, treatment or examination is not what the urgent care clinic was set up for, or receives federal funding for. It was all about seeing as many patients rather that treatment or care.
Negative experience: The worst medical centre in the world . Came in for X-ray 1 week no response , tried calling every day on hold for over 40 mins . Had to make my way in and ask about my results they said I had to wait 2-3 hours. Absolute joke
Fantastic experience: First time at this center Came in Friday 20th June. Sliced my finger on a knife and wouldn't stop bleeding. Was sent through to this emergency area. Was seen within 5mins by the nurse. Dr came in within 5mins. Numbed my finger, came back 8mins later. 2 stitches and sent home It's like a mini hospital there. They have scans, xrays, pharmacy and GP
Negative experience: I was 3rd on sunday morning sharp at 8am. Dr logged in at 8.05. i set to see him at 8.08. i was waiting for an hour and told i have 6 ppl before me. ok the number system is biased if u set preference. only 1 dr for all patients. horrible place not managed very well..
Negative experience: tried to call prior to going at 7pm and they “don’t answer the phone” after those hours. arrived there for them to say they aren’t taking any more patients?…. they close at 10pm but reception can’t answer the phone if u can’t take patients at least answer the phone so we don’t waste our time?
Fantastic experience: I'm very glad to have this medical centre within our reach. Bulkbilling used to be ubiquitous around the country. Glad to see it is still offered here! All important medical services including imaging in the same place is a great asset.
Negative experience: Some GPs are great. But unfortunately few are really poor and should not even be practising if all truth told. Yesterday I had 1 of the poor ones and sad to say she was way out of her depth. Waited 1 hour and got her and was clearly not upto it. She was not even tech savvy and could not send my test results to the app. She diagnosed 1 thing verbally and wrote something else on paper. To wrap this up, there are good GPs at this centre but there are some real poor 1s too.
Negative experience: Any review above one star is fake Open till 10pm you mean "4pm comes sorry we are at capacity " We answer phones till 5 you mean " We leave you on hold till 5pm "
Negative experience: One of the worst medical centers around. 90% of the Dr's can't speak English and can't be bothered with you. See any of them after 8 and they refer you straight to the hospital. Literally only 2 Dr's here that I would recommend. The phone message says they answer the phones between 9-5 Monday to Friday. What a joke. If you're lucky they might answer the phone once in this century. They are supposed to be an urgent care center and honestly you'd be served quicker going to Nepean Emergency.
Negative experience: I only needed a review of my annual mental health care plan, I waited four hours to see a doctor, only to be told that none of the doctors working today were qualified in mental health assessment and I would have to come back another day. Garbage medical centre with sub-par doctors who couldn’t cut it in real medical centers. Hire trained doctors that can at least do the basics of primary health care or don’t bother being open.
Negative experience: Looks like they have 20 rooms of drs but they only put on a few on. 2 nights have been wasted in a waiting room and still haven't seen a dr due to my time available. I left after 2hrs waiting tonight when they told me I had another hour to go. It used to be quick
Negative experience: I had a horrible experience here. My 7 month baby had very high fever and I was advised to take him to this urgent care. The receptionist there told me that it wasn't busy and the wait time is not that long. Even though I requested for urgent care, the receptionist put me in the waiting at general clinic without mentioning about it. After waiting for more than half an hour, we approached the reception to confirm if we were on the urgent care waiting but she said we were on the General waiting and it would take us another hour or more to see the GP and when we reiterated to her her that our baby is very sick, she told us to go to Emergency. I wasted more than an hour here and on reflection, this place seemed very irresponsible.
Positive experience: At this doctors office, you need to use an app to join a queue of people to see a doc; no booked appointments unless x-ray. Peak times, you're gonna wait an hour or more (unless emergency, of course). It's a bit of a hassle to travel here unless you have a car/ Uber. Bus plus walk 15 min (past construction site early 2025) then at location you need to go long way around to get to office had go around construction site. Doctors were great. Some seem overworked and tired. They need more doctors available. Great experience at the x-ray office. It's inside Our Medical Penrith. Need to book an appointment for x-ray, ultrasound, etc.
Fantastic experience: Dr Armanali Mirjordvay was very good at explaining what to look out for regarding blood pressure and the other things surrounding it. Very thorough was happy with the advice and what to look out for, thanks brother Receptionists are also great
Negative experience: The Doctor I saw yesterday, seemed totally disinterested and I needed a script for Asthma, said he would give me one script with no repeats and was told to go back and see the doctor that originally prescribed the medication, highly unethical in my opinion, now I have to go and sit in the waiting room again for another hour in a couple of weeks time, not impressed.
Negative experience: Was there from 5:30pm til 6:55pm where they told everyone to go home because they close at 7pm but they actually close at 10pm??? Wtf Edit: just got a notification from the app at 8pm that the doctor is ready to see me. Too late I’m dead now. Thanks.
Negative experience: Only 2 doctors on a Saturday morning 1.5 hours in waiting room with lots of people coughing and unwell. The people after me waiting 2-2.5 hours. The chairs are all stained and dirty. It would be one star but the receptionist was lovely, helped me understand how many people waiting in front of me. The doctor was knowledgeable also.
Fantastic experience: Great doctor for last minute matters . Dr Louise Armstrong and Dr Hossein Javaheiri are the doctors I go to for me and my kids
Negative experience: Don't like to answer a phone call. Just want you to use the app. To find out the last doc i saw took. Number of phone calls put on hold and 10min plus to answer a call.
Negative experience: Presented to urgent care with severe knee pain after a netball injury — unable to walk and felt/heard a pop. The triage nurse was lovely and attentive (unfortunately didn’t get her name). She called in Dr Moran, who assessed my knee briefly and ordered an x-ray. Although she initially suggested I go elsewhere, the nurse arranged for it to be done there. After the x-ray, I was told nothing was wrong and no further imaging or referral was needed. Despite explaining I couldn’t walk and had pain near the MCL/meniscus, I was told it was likely from a graze. No pain relief was offered. The triage nurse followed up and asked if I’d been given medication, but the doctor declined to prescribe anything. I spent the night in SEVERE pain until i was prescribed medication from my regular GP the next day. I’ve now been diagnosed with tears to my ACL, MCL, PCL, meniscus, and a bone fracture. I understand that not all injuries are obvious, but I believe a more thorough assessment or referral could have made a difference.
Fantastic experience: The girls at the desk were helpful. Doctor was great. Plenty of room in the waiting room. Higher recommended
Negative experience: Tried to ring to give feedback but after waiting an hour on hold am recording it here. Doctors are disinterested and dismissive. Serious diagnosis missed on 2 occasions now. I would recommend you go elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: Excellent Service. Friendly doctors and nurses in urgent care clinic. Friendly receptionist Cathy.
Fantastic experience: Dr A Mirjordvay is a great Doctor no matter how busy he is he takes the time to listen to you & help you. Thanku Dr Mir for helping Myself & Mark
Negative experience: Love this place but PLEASE update your opening hours on Google. You are NOT open 24 hours as we found out at 7am last Saturday.
Negative experience: Attended the urgent care clinic, there is no sense of urgency from the doctor. The urgent care nurse was fantastic and xray done quickly but the wait for the doctor is ridiculous. The doctor saw 3 patients in 2 hours and 2 were simple referrals for X-rays. We requested to have our X-ray sent to our normal GP instead waiting an extra hour. I appreciate the purpose of urgent care clinics but don’t feel this is running as it was intended. Maybe swap out the doctor for someone with a sense of urgency.
Negative experience: No parking, doctors don’t help at all and don’t suggest anything and send you on your way. Can hardly understand their English. Their app is useless. Wait times are hours long and sometimes get cut off hours before closing time because there’s so many people in there sitting down or laying on the floor. Everyone coming to the counter is only to complain about the shit service. Place is a joke
Fantastic experience: The receptionist was very helpful and gave us a good idea of how long we could expect to wait. I also liked that once we were 5th in line you were updated with your place in the queue
Fantastic experience: We've always had exceptionally good and prompt care from everyone. Very efficient team, even during busy periods.
Negative experience: It is honestly so disappointing to see this disgusting level of care!!!! The reception staff are lovely, and the practice is spacious, with plenty of seating. Dr Haque, on the other hand, is as rude as one can be, She was incredibly off-putting the moment I walked into the room. She has a negative energy and dismisses your concerns. I went in with a painful right ear, with it being blocked for several days. She checked my right ear and and said it was an infection. She then checked my left ear, which was perfectly fine, with the SAME tip. It is common and STANDARD practice to be changing the tip of th otoscope if the infected ear has been checked before the uninfected ear. She then proceeded to write me a script for some oral antibiotics. When I spoke up about wanting antibiotic ear drops, she proceeded to tell me I did not require then because my left ear also had wax in it (is that not something common enough for a lot of people to have and how is that related to my infected right ear. I reiterated my concern about how everything gets the same antibiotic treatment, and from my experience, does not have effect on my symptoms. She again dismissed me and said I was too young (I am 21) to be administering antibiotics ear drops. Again, I raised my concerns and politely asked for some antibiotic ear drops. Prior to her prescribing me the oral antibiotic, I did mention that they do very little for me and I still usually am not feeling well after finishing a regular course. She then rolled her eyes, did a loud sigh and begrudgingly wrote out a script for the antibiotic ear drops. I work in the medical field, personally, so I totally understand IF she did have any concerns about a patient being adamant on being prescribed antibiotic ear drops. However, Dr Haque's behaviour and attitude was disgusting, and honestly, it is a disgrace that she is calling herself a Dr with how rude, ill-mannered and impoilte she is towards her patients. She had no regard whatsoever for the patient's concerns. This practice being in Western Sydney, a population which is constantly being put under pressure due to lack of GP's and basic healthcare services, has appalling Dr's working for them to cut on the patient lines and flow. I will never EVER recommend this practice to anyone. I'd much rather go to Nepean ED than be seen by such preposterous so called 'clinical professionals'.
Positive experience: The care taken by reception staff on signing in, and the nurses and doctors make for a welcome change from what you generally experience in a hospital waiting room. However they don’t seem to follow up with texts or calls when you have X-rays done. Two occasions now I’ve had to contact them to find out if results were available, after having been told that texts would be forthcoming.
Fantastic experience: Visited here at 7.30pm. Busy day for the clinic. And still the admin staff Renee and Kathy did an excellent job procuring results and slotting me for an appointment. Professional. Recommend.
Fantastic experience: I got stitches in Sri Lanka and it was easier to get them put in there then the trouble I’ve had at locations around Penrith to get them out. The receptionist was lovely and helpful and the Dr was fantastic. I’d def come back to this place if I need to again in Penrith
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Our Medical Penrith late last night. I was seen promptly, which was such a relief, and the staff were fantastic. The blonde lady at reception was incredibly helpful and polite—nothing was too much trouble for her, and she made the whole process so easy, she even took the time to fix the issue with my app for Our Medical which had a glitch. Dr. Islam was also wonderful—very professional, kind, and understanding. He took the time to listen and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. I really appreciate the excellent care I received and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of quality medical attention.
Fantastic experience: Thank you to the whole reception team and the nursing team (Cathy and Ebtesam) for going well out of their way to fit me and in and get my leg stitched up. They were highly professional and I greatly appreciate their efforts can’t recommend highly enough!
Fantastic experience: Come to the medical centre after waiting at another medical for 2 hours not to be seen. I was greeted by a lovely lady Reene who was ever so helpful and was able to get me in with the urgent care nurse as I needed to be seen faster. Dr ford at the urgent care gp was absolutely amazing and took alot of time and care in making sure everything was okay. Afterwards I was greeted with a smile and beautiful mannered lady Kathy at the urgent care desk who helped me with finalising everything and finding the details to help me review! Would 100% recommend! Thankyou Reene, Kathy and Dr Ford for making my experience amazing!
Negative experience: I have been trying to contact this medical centre for the past 3 days however have been on hold for over an hour each time. I am convinced that they just do not answer their phones. Disappointing to say the least
Negative experience: So disappointing. Took my son to see a doctor and got Dr haque, hardly made eye contact, extremely quick diagnosis and told me my 10yr old had ear infection and off we went with antibiotics. 5 days later took him to my normal doctor to see why he doesn’t have relief. Turns out it’s not an ear infection but a different infection with total different medication needed. Now my son has relief. Something so common and simple yet she gets it wrong. Won’t go here even if I am desperate. Who can we trust if we can’t trust a doctor!
Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Was in direct need of medical help after two nights of no sleep due to pain. Acute care section sprang into action and came up with possible diagnosis with CT scan. Most importantly I was provided with a script to alleviate strong pain. Follow up with my GP for the next day. Aside from a miracle cure, who could ask for more. Thanks heaps.
Fantastic experience: Reception went above and beyond to help me after needing an iron infusion and trying to locate where I had my blood test done. As I previously saw another Dr practice. Finally got my iron infusion and so happy and please with the level of customer service the receptionist provided! Dr and nurses were friendly also. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Very understanding. Good analysis, explanation and Support. Dr. Armani Mirjordvay is an excellent doctor.
Negative experience: Absolutely disturbing. I was in a lot of pain and they had me sitting in urgent care. They said I’d be next, after about 40 mins they decided to put me in the other queue for doctors. Not until I had to disclose my symptoms to yet another person why I’ve been put in urgent care. They then decided to get a doctor to see me next rather than putting me at the end of the queue like they were going to. No one should have to sit in pain for that long and explain very personal reasons to multiple staff members.
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the doctor I saw today. Being told you can only raise two concerns, reluctant to run any required tests because 'government monitors' them. And then being lectured about how you are healthy based on his 40 years of experience...I walked out basically very upset and not knowing what I actually needed to do to address my concerns...
Negative experience: Great place but Dr Udoka Ariguzo was unimaginably rude. Not sure how she still has her licence! Show some sympathy and care.
Negative experience: I went into this clinic 5 weeks ago and they rebooked in for 5 weeks time which is today for LBC testing at 12.55 with my doctor I seen. I got there 20 minutes earlier so I was prepared and not that anxious. The receptionist told me that my doctor isn't here and just left and she dosent know when she's coming back. So I waited for 1 hour and she still was not there. I then went back to the reception and said can I book with a different lady doctor, so I waited an extra 20 minutes to see her. She then put on the pathology form cst instead of lbc as I already had my cst screening test and I was up to the next stage of testing. I then had to wait another hour or two for the nurse to get back and my doctor to be ready for me. It was over 3 hours wait. It was so unprofessional as I booked this 5 weeks ago. I ended so overwhelmed and ended up crying. Where is the communication?! Very bad experience. Not happy
Positive experience: Some great Doctor's and facilities , however the app to manage the patient appointments is not always working well, very frustrating at times.
Negative experience: The worst medical centre. The last three times I’ve been there I’ve ended up walking out. Twice because I was turned away at 7pm because they weren’t taking anymore patients (for a medical centre that advertise everywhere WE ARE OPEN TIL 10pm.. are you though?) Tonight I got asked to leave after sitting for 2hrs with a sick 2.5yr old because they couldn’t access anything, couldn’t even get a Dr to write me a pathology request for a swab. Disgusting. No empathy, even when you do have young kids. Won’t ever return. If I could give 1/2 a star I would.
Fantastic experience: I was very sick and was able to be seen to very quickly by a very good doctor who gave me the right treatment which has me feeling better already fantastic doctors and well run!
Fantastic experience: I went in this morning to see the urgent care service after an incident last night which I was pretty sure required stitches. The receptionist was absolutely lovely. As i waited outside the nurses office, I saw the Dr on duty being so attentive and amazing to an elderly couple and a young child whilst escorting them to the room. He called my name next and introduced himself as Brian. Which instantly calmed my nerves down as he was just so down to earth. He explained i needed stitches after showing him my wound. Brian and the fabulous nurse on today were nothing short of amazing. I want to give them the BIGGEST shout out for keeping me calm and even laughing during the procedure. I went in with extreme anxiety, sweats and all. 6 stitches later, I walked out feeling so grateful to these 2 fabulous people.
Negative experience: Really disappointing medical service. The reception staff are quite rude. Also the practice manager really needs to put up a board that announces your name and which room you need to go to. Instead the doctors have to shout out your name and the practice is so big that it's hard to hear the doctor unless you're actually sitting outside their office. Even giving the patient a number and calling them out over a PA system would help. The doctors try their best, but the practice manager needs to do something. At the moment it's very disorganised and not worth the wait. I'm going somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: Great medical centre that to my luck also had urgent care which because I needed stiches saved me a trip to Hospital. People complain of wait times trust me 1 hour wait for treatment oopoed to 8 hour wait at hospital is a real blessings. From the receptionist to the burse and doctor who provided my treatment was top notch. Thank you soo much guys found there is an our medical centre near me at Marsden park so will def be paying then a visit in future.
Negative experience: One of the worst medical centres. Reception staff are fine, wait time has improved a lot since this place opened. Only have a couple of good doctors. The rest don’t wanna be there, won’t listen to you, and won’t do anything for you. Receptionist today tried to tell me I had covid when I was RAT negative and was coughing because of my asthma. I’ve gone there multiple times and every time I see a doctor there, they tell me that I’ll be fine in a few days. I’ve seen Dr Haque before who’s been mentioned in the reviews when I had a knee injury from reformer pilates. She told me to ice my injury for two weeks, leading to a blood clot that didn’t go away for around eight months and ongoing knee pain a year later and counting. Could not recommend this medical centre less. Will not be returning.
Fantastic experience: The range of services, the fast wait time & the doctor I saw was excellent. Highly recommend! Also love that there is an app that tells you how many patients are in front of you!
Fantastic experience: Very good customer service. They are very helpful and polite. Wait times are fare and doctors are good. All you need is an app and you are set . Very easy to use. I was surprised how good and easy was it . The place is big it has parking. I really liked it and would be coming here always from now on.
Negative experience: I don’t know other days, but they don’t have a doctor on site tonight. The reception lady is very impatient when I ask how long I have to wait for DR phone call after half hours waiting. And she treated you like virus even though I wore a mask and stand 1 meter away from her. If you are sick, please don’t come to here in the evening. Wasting my time!
Negative experience: I am completely disgusted to hear of my partners experience with so called “dr” NASRIN HAGUE. He has never, nor have I had such an incompetent experience with a doctor in 35 years of life. Upon reading other reviews it seems my partner had an identical experience to other patients. He was not acknowledged upon walking in, was asked no questions in relation to his injury, she did not even look at it or give any eye contact AT ALL. She offered no medical advice or reassurance about anything. She literally did less than the bare minimum. This doctor has not a single compassionate nor professional bone in her body and I am truely amazed at how she still has a medical license. If you are visiting this medical centre AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS.
Positive experience: We are very thankful for the service we received today. My husband had a fall, the nurse and doctor were attentive, professional.
Negative experience: Every time I go here, I kid myself into thinking it will be different, it will be better, but every time I get stuck with that Hague doctor. She's absolutely useless. I asked for a blood test. I asked for help. She straight up does not want to work, I don't understand why she's still employed.
Negative experience: I had a real bad experience with Dr A. Lawal and my workers comp case. If you have a workers compensation claim do not go with this doctor he will make things difficult for you, plus he wont do anything to support you or understand your situation. I strongly recommend to go somewhere else and not with his services or with this medical clinic. Dr Lawal placed me on light duties under 30 days of my injury without consulting with the specialist or physiotherapist. I believe the specialist and physiotherapist they have a say so in your recovery matters as well. My case workers tried multiple times to contact him because they were concerned of my early return to work. He never attempted to contact them as he said the were no facts. Dr A Lawal wanted me to chase down reports from my shoulder specialist and physiotherapist when it is his responsibility to ask questions, as he gets pay higher wages for worker’s compensation cases. For he is a lazy doctor that only wants to cash out on workers compensation cases and do little services for his patients
Negative experience: Went there on Saturday after Easter, they didn't say anything about only having 2 doctors only and a 3 hour wait plus wait. One doctor then went on a 30 minute break.Absolutely disgraceful operation and lazy and disrespectful poor service to the local community. Most doctors there are hopeless and lazy as well. Then on the 26/12/2024 I waited 2 hours to see a Dr. The Dr didn't explain to me what was going on, just started printing a prescription. Then he engaged in an absolute inappropriate and disrespectful behaviour and discussion towards me. I have reported the Dr to AHPRA today.
Negative experience: What a rubbish place I have been getting emails all week saying that they shut at 10pm on Xmas day. I checked in online when I was on the way. And said i was next in line Got there at 925pm they had no patients and they wouldn't see me for a arm infection. The receptionist was so rude. They said we will not see anyone anymore. And the app said my consultation has finished so they had put in the consultation to medicare and hadn't even seen me. What ever happened to the doctors oath. Or is it just about $$$ these days. Honestly sad sad outcome and very bad people.
Negative experience: Normally I go here and all the staff are lovely but Yesterday I was involved in an incident that left me in shock that morphed extreme pain, I went in complaining about the pain in my leg and back so I asked to see the urgent care doctor but the nurse who "triaged" me, talk to me like i was stupid, and ignored my complaints because I didn't want to talk about my injuries in the waiting room, she then told me to wait for a GP. I was left there crying in the waiting room all because that woman refused to listen to me, I felt like I was seen as nothing but a number and an inconvenience. I am absolutely appalled by my treatment from that nurse. No body should be left crying in the waiting room like that
Negative experience: I went to Our Medical just after 7pm and found only a few people waiting to be seen by the doctor. The lady at the reception didn’t say anything to me when I approached. When I asked if I could put my daughter’s name down to see the doctor a man nearby came over and looked at me. I repeated that I wanted to put my daughter’s name down to see the doctor. He just said they weren’t taking anymore bookings as they closed at 8pm. I told them their website says they are open to 10pm but they just said they weren’t taking anymore names. The staff at reception looked bored and like they were counting down the minutes until they could close. Very annoying and very unhelpful!!!!
Negative experience: Very poor quality GPs. Was asked to come back in 24hrs after initial visit. When I came back, waited for almost an hour to find out that there were no notes on my file and they had no idea why I was asked to come back in. GPs appear as good as a first year med students. Anything other than writing scripts - oh we don’t do that, you would have to go to the hospital for that.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, efficient service, helped me with my urgent health care need after my GP’s normal hours with minimal waiting time. So handy to have the chemist on site. Visited twice now with good experiences both times. My elderly mother has also been here twice and looked after very well. Very thankful that we didn’t need to wait for hours at the hospital. Thank you to all the staff for patiently dealing with your patients.
Fantastic experience: This is by far the best medical centre i have ever been too. Every time I've prebooked an appointment, I have never waited more then 5 mins and the staff are amazing. The doctors are very tentative and make you feel comfortable. Can not recommend this place enough
