I always found dentist appointments anxiety-inducing, but the customer service and level of expertise at Perfect Dental is outstanding. Perfect Dental would always ensure to update me if there were any changes to my appointment, and even contacted me after my appointment for a well-being check up. Negative experience: I had a disappointing experience with this dental service in 2023. It felt like they were more focused on making money than on genuine dental care. They used up my child’s entire dental benefit for just cleaning and polishing, performing minimal work (cavities) while repeatedly scheduling follow-ups and charging us each time. Additionally, the dentist behaved unprofessionally. He promised verbally a discount for my wife’s dental treatment but later charged the full amount, disregarding his earlier commitment. Today 30.01.2025, I received a phone call from Amy to discuss my concerns. Initially, she was professional and polite, but after presenting her side, she dismissed my opinion and repeatedly asked me to change my review. She also mentioned escalating the issue to their legal team if I did not comply. I believe that customers should have the right to share honest feedback without being pressured or intimidated. Reviews exist to help others make informed decisions, and I am simply sharing my personal experience. Instead of addressing concerns constructively, it is disappointing to see an attempt to silence feedback through legal threats. Businesses should focus on improving service rather than discouraging honest reviews.
Hi Shabir We’re disappointed by your review – particularly given the serious factual inaccuracies and the fact that you’ve waited over a year since your child’s appointments to post it, under the guise of providing “constructive” feedback. If you genuinely wanted to resolve a concern or help us improve our service, you would have raised it at the time – not a year later, after the fact. The very fact that you’ve waited this long seriously discredits your review and the legitimacy of your claims. Child’s Treatment Your daughter was treated in October 2023 for four early-stage cavities. These were clinically necessary and consistent with signs of ongoing neglect in oral hygiene. The work was discussed, consented to, and provided at no cost to you – fully covered under Medicare. Your statement that it was “just cleaning and polishing” is false. In fact, the Australian taxpayer has paid for considerably more than that. Wife’s Treatment Your wife received a complex, multi-canal procedure. The estimate ranged from $1,500 to $1,700 due to the complications involved. She was charged $1,370 – a reduced rate extended as a courtesy. You’ve claimed a verbal promise of a further discount but have provided no details of what was allegedly agreed. The fact that a discount was already applied directly undermines your statement that we “disregarded an earlier commitment.” A discount was provided. Phone Call Our Practice Manager spent over 40 minutes on the phone with you to address your concerns. She remained respectful and transparent throughout. You became argumentative, interrupted repeatedly, and refused to engage with the clinical facts presented – instead attempting to cite your status as a “medical professional from overseas” while dismissing the findings of an Australian-registered dental practitioner. You were reminded that reviews must be factually accurate, and that misleading or defamatory content may be challenged. This is a statement of Google’s own policy – not a threat – and something you should be well aware of as a “Local Guide.” Final Position We welcome honest, constructive feedback. But that requires facts. Your review misrepresents events, undermines the efforts of a team that treated your family respectfully, and attempts to rewrite history under the guise of “honesty.” Google’s review policy requires that content be “based on real experiences and information” and prohibits “deliberately fake or defamatory content.” When opinion distorts fact, it misleads others from making informed decisions. Your misleading review therefore doesn't even serve your own stated purpose – which is to help others make informed decisions. Negative experience: So initially I called early July to book my first appointment but reception said earliest they could book me was 1st August so I agreed. But then received a call from reception saying if they can move my appointment to September instead to have "better care for my teeth" so I agreed again, turned out I waited nearly 4 months just to not have my appointment as I called reception to doublecheck if they accept my insurance "GU health" the receptionist Tamara said "No" so I was shocked as I waited this long just to have my appointment so I said ok you can cancel my appointment then. But I felt a bit strange so I tried calling again to doublecheck if they accept my insurance then the receptionist said "I'll doublecheck with my boss" she then called me later and said they do so I wanted to still have my appointment on the same day + time but it was too late as someone else has already taken my spot and the "earliest" that she could book me in was the 31st September. Safe to say I'll never come back here unfortunately the dentist practitioner Helen herself from what I've heard is very skilled but I'll never get to experience her service because it's not worth the runaround and waste of time waiting due to this unprofessional receptionist. Edit: Amy (Director) got in touch with me, she was professional, understanding and has dealt with the problem receptionist/dental assistant so I decided to still go through with my dental appointment. Dr Helen and her assistant was great, helped me figure out the issue with my teeth.

As we discussed, I am extremely disappointed in the service that you received from our team member on the day you called. You had such a simple and straightforward question that any competent receptionist should have been able to assist with with ease. Giving a "No" response when you "don't know" something, instead of trying to find out the answer, just goes against the entire ethos of the Perfect Dental (PD) "mission". Furthermore, giving your original appointment time away while still not having the answer to your question, and then calling you back after your original appointment time had already passed, is absolutely nonsensical, embarrassing and unacceptable. As a result of the above, the staff member that you refer to in your review is no longer a part of the PD family. Fantastic experience: had an amazing experience at perfect dental and i will definitely be back for my 6 month appointment. the receptionist with long black hair ( didn’t catch her name unfortunately) wasn’t able to greet me because she was attending to a customer on the phone and was very apologetic during check out which i found so refreshing. as a thank you for my patience she kindly offered me a coffee which was very sweet of her and definitely turned this dental clinic into my go to place for teeth cleaning. Dr. Raghad Al Attiyah made me feel very comfortable and was gentle when tending to my teeth. he also made sure i wasn’t in any pain or feeling any discomfort by asking me multiple times if i was okay and if i wanted a break. i will be recommending this clinic to all my friends and family

For clarity, the "urgent care voucher" that you presented only covers a limited scope of treatment, as determined by the public dental system. This voucher allows for a single treatment, and any additional care beyond that would require payment out of pocket. Fantastic experience: It was looking for a new dentist & I've found one. Doctor Hedi cleaned my teeth better than my previous dentist who I've been seeing for over 25 years. My first experience at Perfect Dental was Perfect. I told my mate & guess where he's going, Perfect Dental. They close at 9pm which is another plus because you don't have to take the day off work you can go after work.

It was my son’s first visit and he was pretty scared, but he turned out to have a really great experience and loved his little gift bag afterwards. My tooth is doing well after the initial trauma. I was so distressed and upset. Perfect Dental were able to fit me in within an hour or so. I had an incredible dentist who took great attention to managing my pain. She also took great detail in the presentation of the tooth she practically built from scratch. I wish i could have shown more gratitude in-store, but it was quite a traumatising morning and I was just so upset. Overall, I was really grateful for the experience. The waiting area was also super cute and comforting. I will be making this place my new regular!

Fantastic experience: Brittney was amazing. I’ve had a lifelong fear of dentist no1 the pain but also the cost but I was very surprised with the price and service. When you walk in the environment is so welcoming all the girls are friendly. I felt no pain and no shame for not going for so long I’m definitely coming back and will be recommending everyone there.
Fantastic experience: My first time there and I was greeted with a smile, felt very relaxing atmosphere. Brittany the dentist I had was absolutely brilliant , very warm and friendly which made my experience so amazing. Great service and great team . Would recommend to anyone. Keep smiling

Fantastic experience: The environment was warm and welcoming, the staff was very pleasant to be around. My experience with Perfect Dental was extremely pleasant in general and the dentists were professional and courteous. I would recommend this to all afghan communities and would definitely come back again.
Negative experience: Edit: In response to your reply, I am actually not using an alias, I do not have any sisters in Melbourne and do not speak a word of Arabic so you've obviously mistaken me for a disgruntled patient. Also, not sharing a patient's private details is in no way a courtesy, it is actually illegal to disclose a patient's information publicly. How dare you imply that I don't care about my father's health. The dentist he saw after Dr Attiyah checked the dentures against my father's mouth structure and told him to bin them so I don't know how much clearer I can make it that they were made incorrectly ♀️ I hope my review helps others that's all I'm going to say. Please avoid Dr Attiyah for any denture work. I told my elderly father to go here based on all the good reviews however the dentures "Dr" Attiyah gave him were not fitted properly. When he went back to have them checked by the dentist, all he did was tell him to adhere more glue which of course did not work. The poor thing hasn't been able to chew proper food for months and basically has had to eat soft, mushy foods. He recently saw another dentist and he told my Dad to throw those dentures in the bin. I would have left a nicer review had this dentist rectified his incorrect work but that's not the case. Never again would we see this dodgy dentist nor will we be recommending him to anybody. What a joke!

Negative experience: Came into the shop greeted with a very nice and professional reception. Once inside with the dentist it changed completely. He will try and slug you and try to squeeze you out of every dollar he can. Using business tactics to try and persuade you to a quick but extremely high price.
Dear Ahmad, Firstly, it was a pleasure helping you and speaking with you following your appointment. You reached out to us on 21 March 2024 and were seen the very next day. The findings during your appointment were a heavily impacted and rotated wisdom tooth (your chief complaint) as well as a number of other cavities. Our main focus was providing you with pain relief for the problematic wisdom tooth. You were given appropriate medication to relieve you of pain until you felt financially ready for the treatment required. You were also offered multiple payment plan solutions which you declined. The fees for your appointment were $150, which included the following: - comprehensive consultation - investigative x-ray - treatment plan - immediate scripting for pain relief This amount was "put towards" your surgical procedure for when you wished to proceed at a later date. You also wouldn't have been charged for the above costs if you had opted to have the problematic tooth extracted on the day of your appointment. There are no sales tactics here, just genuine care coming from a small boutique dental practice. We will also add that the practice staff have tried to contact you several times out of concern for your health. The Practice Manager has also personally spoken with you and has attempted to call you on multiple further occasions. When we did initially speak with you, you were satisfied with the explanation of the amount paid going towards the surgical procedure. You have our number if you do wish to come in.
