Negative experience: I went to dentist and had a terrible experience. The dentist doing an X-ray that was not needed along with not being told it would cost extra and him saying before that it was just a small hole and just needed extra brushing. As well as him being really condescending him saying that he would be happy to take my money and just fill the hole. I spoke to manager about this, her agreeing that I was wrongfully charged with an x-ray I was not made aware that was an extra charge. She said she would give me my refund only once I had taken down my previous bad review. So not only did the dentist take advantage of me but the manager bribed me. As a dental that says they pride themselves in good customer service I would have thought considering my horrible experience with the dentist , the manager would have felt entitled to refunded me the total amount to compensate for the upsetting experience I went through. Regardless to say they did refund for the X-ray, her saying she went above and beyond when she would have done nothing had I not called and explained the situation. Disappointing. Just disappointing.
Hi Jemma, As previously explained by our team, both over the phone and during follow-up discussions, only two standard item codes were charged for your appointment: 013: a limited examination 022: a single x-ray These are the minimum charges any dental clinic would apply for this type of visit. It was also explained that x-rays are sometimes clinically necessary — even when a tooth appears stable — to allow for a complete and accurate diagnosis. In your case, the x-ray was certainly not “unnecessary,” as you have claimed. We did not state that you were wrongfully charged. However, as a gesture of goodwill—and because we genuinely aim for every patient to leave with a positive experience—we offered a refund for the x-ray. This offer was extended not out of obligation but in the spirit of resolving your concerns constructively. At the time, you were happy about this resolution. You confirmed you would remove your review, agreeing that it no longer reflected your experience and your complaint about paying for the X-ray. To our surprise and disappointment, you contacted the clinic again the following day and demanded a full refund of the consultation. You began the call by saying, “I have a bribe for you ,” and proceeded to threaten our staff with another one-star review if your demand was not met. Let us be clear: this type of conduct is completely unacceptable. We are extremely disappointed by the behaviour demonstrated — particularly given the courtesy, and fairness shown by our team throughout this matter. During this call, our response was clear — we advised you to proceed with posting the review, and you appeared genuinely surprised that your appalling and intimidating tactics had no effect. We want to emphasise that we are not afraid of negative feedback. In fact, we welcome constructive criticism as an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve the care we provide. However, this was not that. This was a deliberate attempt to manipulate our team through threats and coercion, clearly driven by personal gain and financial motive. We appreciate the opportunity to make it publicly known that we do not — and will not — concede to threatening, manipulative, or coercive behaviour under any circumstances. Please be advised that all communication, remarks, and conduct relating to this situation have been formally documented and recorded. Granite Belt Dental

Fantastic experience: Just moved to Stanthorpe and needed a dental examination, teeth clean, xrays etc. The team at Granite Belt Dental were recommended to me and i must say they were amazing. From the ADMIN ladies meeting you at the door, my dental assistant and the dentist, I was in good hands. Really professional. I was quite relaxed during my visit which is extremely unusual because I am normally a ball of stress at the thought of going to the dentist. If your in Stanthorpe, Warrick or Tenterfield don't toss up who to see, visit this team. I have a clear dental plan developed, my treatment is very reasonably priced and I am not scared at the thought of returning. Thanks team for your care.

Fantastic experience: On a visit to Stanthorpe last week I developed chronic tooth ache, I was waiting at the front door at 8am when they opened, told them my plight & was greeted with its your lucky day, we have just had an 8am appointment cancelation. I was quickly taken by Larissa who was thorough in her investigation, she gave me the options & I decided extraction was the best one. After numbing the troubled area Larissa painlessly extracted the culprit, explained what might happen over the next few days & wrote me a script for pain killers. Fantastic experience: I had broken my tooth off near the gum taking with it the whole of the filling. Being a pensioner on a health care card tried at the hospital to get a dentist, but unless I was in pain wasn't classified as urgent and had to go on waiting list for two years. The Granite Belt Dental understood my need and was able to give me an appointment for 2days later. They were all excellent and I appreciated their service very much. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had a very pleasant experience! felt little to no pain during the entire procedure and the day after when the anaesthetic wore off, I still felt no pain - even though I was expecting to feel some. Fantastic experience: Dr Jin, a visiting specialist, removed a tooth for me ready to have an implant later. He found that infection had 'eaten' the bone away beneath it so implanted a new piece of bone. He was extremely kind and professional and I felt no pain, just a few moments of very slight discomfort. I was very surprised and happy. I feared my bleeding was carrying on too long but was given an appointment within an hour to have it checked. All was well.

Fantastic experience: Residing in Tenterfield, I was booked in for Thursday 20 Dec as I was suffering from a pesky tooth-ache. I was told that, should there be a cancellation, they would ring me to move my appointment forward. As luck would have it, we were in Stanthorpe to-day (Monday 16 Dec) when I was contacted and told that, if I could make it, I could be seen at 12.00 to-day. FANTASTIC!!! The dentist was running on time, I was X-Rayed and the offending tooth was removed quickly and efficiently. We've been attending Granite Belt Dental for about 9 years now and reckon it's worth the 57km trip from Tenterfield.
