Fantastic experience: As a mum & carer to a child with special needs, I neglected my teeth, I had a consolation with Dr Shane & express my anxiety about coming to the dentist, I have a few holes & was worried I would loose some teeth, but with a plan over 3 sessions Dr Shane has brought back my confidence & smile, you cant even tell i have a filling as its the same colour as my tooth, definitely am pleased with the results.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mim made having my wisdom teeth out so straight forward and simple. Everything was explained and discussed so I knew what to expect. And I didn’t even feel a thing during or after the procedure! Not sure why I waited so long to have it done!!

I met the lovely Dr Christine Lim who was very gentle, empathetic and professional. The facilities are very clean and provide such a wide range of services such as same day crowns and invisalign. Fantastic experience: From the reception staff to the dental assistant Kath and especially Dr. Mim – everyone was professional and welcoming. Dr. Mim was incredibly patient and took the time to thoroughly explain my dental condition and the available treatment options. This was already my second visit, and this time I had a deep cleaning done. The price was very reasonable, and Dr. Mim’s technique was excellent – gentle yet effective. I also appreciated being able to watch Netflix during the procedure, which helped distract me and made the experience much more comfortable. What I appreciated the most was the clear and reassuring communication between the dentist and the patient. It made me feel confident in the care I was receiving, and that kind of trust is truly a sign of professionalism. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Rang in the morning with a tooth causing grief. They had a slot at 7.30pm. After an examination - pain free, the tooth had to go. Tooth was pulled gently. Woke the next morning - pain free and swelling gone. Only used 2 mild pain meds last night. Had a full breakfast. Thanks for everything

Fantastic experience: Innova Dental is absolutely amazing! The entire staff is so friendly, caring and helpful right from the moment you walk in until the moment you walk out. I saw Dr Justine and she was absolutely fantastic. She was very gentle, efficient and thoroughly talked me through the process of everything. The practice is clean, comfortable and modern, and they have TVs on the roof so you can watch Netflix during your appointment! I would absolutely recommend Innova Dental to anyone looking for the best quality care.

I have a huge phobia of dentists and today is the first time in my life that I have had a positive dental experience and pain free extractions. Fantastic experience: I can't speak for all of the Innova dental in Launceston but I had an appointment with Dr. Mim Griffiths and she was amazing. Her patient interactions are fantastic. For the first time in over 2 decades I didn't feel judged for the mistakes I made with oral hygiene in my early life. She went through 3 different possible plans and explained the pros and cons for each one. Then she broke down the costs taking it all into account. Kind and caring with a soothing aura that put me so much at peace that I actually booked a consultation with her for my partner as well. 11 out of 10 for an all around experience would recommend to any of my friends family or loved ones. I was in the chair for three hours but was kept informed on how things were going and they were always asking how I was doing. Fantastic experience: I broke my tooth and they got me in right away the staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I also had my wisdom teeth removed here, and the whole procedure went smoothly.

Negative experience: It made me uncomfortable being here. Right from the start with the terms and conditions form you are asked to sign upon arrival, things were weird. The form contains a few unusual clauses, including one which states to the effect "Any treatments the dentist deems necessary you must agree to have". Buy why wouldn't you want to have treatment if the dentist suggested it? Feels weird and unnecessarily something... opportunistic maybe? To that point.. once you've done the form and before you even enter the dentists consultation room, they take you into a special room set up just for X-Rays right next to reception and X-ray you! Hang on, you don't even know why I've come today, or if I need an X-Ray... why is this happening? There is an average cost for an x-ray and I've been told by someone who works in the health care industry that Innova charge much more than that average cost. I know Innova will want to respond to this review so I ask Innova: What do you charge for an X-Ray? Is that price average or more than what other providers in Launceston charge? Nothing wrong with charging of course... it's just that the cost for dentist X-Rays (in my experience) isn't something that is discussed upfront or before the commencement of consultation. So if you're charging more than everyone else and perhaps doing more x-rays too, well it feels a bit gross. I suspect if you go to Innova (as per what happened to me), you won't just have one X-Ray... you'll have a few! X-Rays create revenue for a dental surgery, and whilst they can show more than the naked eye, they aren't always necessary. I've been to the dentist a number of times where they have said to me: teeth look fine, x-rays not required. But not at my visit to Innova. Just to be sure, they took about 3 or 4 x-rays! Normally I pay about $240 for a clean and check, however on my one and only visit to Innova (because I'm not going back), they charged my health insurance double what I normally pay (about $460) for a clean and check. Ouch! I was not happy with Innova as I felt it was more about the sell, than other places I'd been to. You'll see when you go, it's slick and they have their system down pat. They're doing a lot of business. The dentist I saw was good, I'm sure they all do a good job, and the practice seems cutting edge (...slick?) and in a good location too! So they're the positives. I guess. I didn't like being overcharged for something that I normally pay less for.. and I didn't like the sense I got of it being so much about the up sell. These things felt counter to me, to the care and personalised service I expect but didn't exactly find here. If you do go... check out that form they get you to sign and maybe ask them... do I really need that x-ray (when they take you in the room) And how much are these X-rays gonna cost anyway? EDIT:On checking I can see I've paid more than $500 via my health fund for a clean and check. This is my money and my fund allows a flexible benefit to all healthcare; meaning there is one balance for everything (dental/optical/physio etc), by Innova charging so much, this has meant I wasn't able to get optical and other things in the financial year as there was less balance due to their charging. Innova is saying I didn't pay (my healthfund did) But I did pay - as those funds are also mine. Please don't gaslight me by telling me that "I couldn't have paid so much". I did pay that much, I paid it through my health fund. Perhaps you need to reset your "definition" of who pays what - ultimately the customer is paying everything, even if you're billing an insurer it's the customer who is ultimately paying through ever increasing Health Insurance premium fees or after service gap payments. Also I didn't go to Innova to check I that I didn't have a jaw or mouth cancer, I went for a clean and check of general dental health. I see $230+ in x-ray charges from the invoice. Charges include for: Panoramic X-Ray $125 and Regular x-Ray $55.

Fantastic experience: It had been quite some time since I had seen a dentist and I wasn’t really sure about where to go. Everyone at Innova are great, especially Justine who has been my dentist. Very caring staff who explain everything and always make sure you are comfortable. I would recommend these guys to anyone, there is even a follow up phone call the day after a procedure to make sure you are feeling ok!!

Negative experience: Everyone I know seems to have had a good experience, but I have had far from it... My dentist was fairly nice, they also would call me before every appointment and I appreciated that BUT!!!! Every call they would tell me a price for my next appointment, and then after the appointment I would ALWAYS be charged more than the original phone call. - I did ask them as to why this has been the case on multiple occasions, and all they would say is "They should not have told you that price". Which I understand, but it happened more than once. It became a huge stress factor as they also would not let me go to any other practice for quotes. I have since left and have no plans to go back.

Fantastic experience: I am super anxious about seeing a dentist. My visit to see Innova dental was not under the best circumstances. Massive, debilitating toothache. I went to my initial consultation with a lot of anxiety. However, Dr Christine set me at ease with her friendly professional manner. She arranged for the extraction to take place as soon as possible. I have never had a dental treatment without being under a general anaesthetic so was a tad sceptical oral sedation would work. I was pleasantly surprised. No anxiety, very little pain during the procedure and no after pain at all. I will be keeping Dr Christine as my dentist. You can't let a good dentist get away. Would highly recommend the practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My partner had a toothache yesterday so I called Innova Dental and was able to get an appointment today. He was seen by Dr Eric and his dental assistant Jewel they were so supportive and compassionate that it made my partner feel very comfortable and relaxed. Fantastic experience: My tooth broke last night, very painful to chew/drink after that. Came to innova the next morning on Saturday at 8.30am without a booking. I was able to immediately go in for a dental filling at 9am despite them being booked out the entire day. Amazing and quick service delivered by the receptionist (I think her name was Carmilla), Dentist Eric and the dental staff/assistant (I didn’t get their name). I strongly recommend this place for your dental needs. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Easy access, Quick Service Professional Service. Easy for a wheelchair to get into the dental chair if not needed Friendly follow-ups to make sure you are okay Friendly staff and very experienced Work staff.

Negative experience: I do not recommend Innova dental. I understand working on commission but pushing people to get wisdom teeth removed when its not recommended is ridiculous. It only increases risk to people. I understand it's a business but it comes across as a scam when pushing people to get unnecessary surgery. I would get a second opinion from another dentist before going through with anything they recommend. Although apart from that innova is good, everyone is lovely, TV is a nice touch, wait times aren't long, professional. I just don't recommend trusting them unfortunately. I'd be more than happy to call to discuss further Bing Lee about the review. As I agree if the facts don't line up it wouldn't be fair to review badly.

Fantastic experience: Dr Olan has been nothing but professional, friendly, informative & non judgmental. A recent filling was so well done and pain managed that whereas I didn’t notice a problem prior I certainly notice the improvement afterwards. Completely seamless. Dr Olan clearly takes what she does very seriously with equal parts passion and pride. Highly technically skilled she then raises the bar with her communication skills, integrity and genuine interest in patient care/welfare. I’m very happy with the service and have already recommended people give Dr Olan a go.

Fantastic experience: My dental treatment by Dr Fay was a breeze. Had three injections and I don’t feel any pain or discomfort. In no time it was all over. I had food particles stuck between my teeth whenever I eat. Dr Fay helped solved the problem which had been troubling me for some time. Highly recommend Innova Dental for all your dental treatments.

Fantastic experience: I don’t know where to start …. To Make a phone call was very pleasant and very easy to do to for the booking, But upon arrival, the staff was very friendly at the front counter and help me out immensely, As a person that has not been to a dentist for 35 years, you can imagine how nervous I was. I had an extraction of some molars, and the experience with the helpful staff made it a very memorable experience , I class myself very lucky that I was operated on by such a wonderful Team .. Can’t say enough positive things about it The premises was clean and tidy… They was very professional and very helpful at the same time,.. but most of all very compassionate which went along way with me … Would you believe they gave me a call on the Saturday to check up on me to make sure everything was going okay you can’t get much better than that !! Fantastic experience: I'm so glad that I chose Innova Dental to take care of my teeth and to supply my brand new top denture. Everything was done to make me comfortable - from the caring reception staff, dental assistants, dentist and prosthetist. Negative experience: I have never been one to complain but I have never had such a horrible experience. I went to get my wisdom tooth removed, unexpectedly and the entire process was awful if I’m being honest. The dentist & dental assistant made me feel very uncomfortable and gave no support, during and after. To make matters worse, they charged an exorbitant amount of money and provided no aftercare instructions which I found was odd. They pretty much just booted me out once the job was done and once I tapped my card. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I actually left feeling very overwhelmed. I don’t mind paying money, but if they want to charge the amount they do, the experience has to be worth it. Although I am grateful I am no longer in pain, I really wish I went elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has a great fear of going to the dentist, Dr Olan’s kindness and gentle approach was so incredibly welcoming. She was quick and gentle with her work and talk you through everything for every step of the way, it was such a relief to find a dentist like her who genuinely cared for you. And the kindness and compassion that the reception staff showed before and after the appointment made the experience that much easier. Thank you Innova.
